One of my worst experiences ever. Nothing of what was promised on booking.com was there in reality. Despite having interacted with the hotel multiple times via the website and having been very accommodating, asking whether they accept cash or credit card, and accepting their offer to have a driver pick us up from the airport, when we arrived to the reception the young man behind the counter was very distracted and not able to focus. He couldn't find the booking on his own, I had to give him a printout of the booking. Then despite having been very clear on the messaging platform, the guy said that the card machine was not in the hotel and we would have to wait until the morning. When we got to the room we realized that it was: a) smaller and didn't have the promised city view, b) did not have a balcony, c) didn't have a fridge and safe as advertised on their page, things we looked for specifically. I went to speak to the receptionist who promised in the next morning to look into the issue. Next day my wife and I spoke to the receptionist and he said that apparently someone had broken the window in the room where we were supposed to stay. However the whole section of the hostel in which or original booked room would be on was being renovated and there were workers and noises all the time. We asked the receptionist if the room would be ready that evening and they said yes. However when we came back to the hostel that evening, we found the room with dirty floors, no curtains, non-functioning AC, and a terrible bed. We asked them if they can fix this issue but they refused. We ended up having to check out and ask for compensation from Booking.com for the horrible experience. Even though they took the payment by card, they refused to refund it by card. During the checking out procedures (which we were forced to conduct at 2 am) we felt more and more threatened and unsafe, which is why we accepted a partial refund, booking.com customer service promised to secure the missing amount, which so far has not happened. The young men who were at the reception desk were rude and very unprofessional. And they cancelled the booking in a way that would not allow me to leave a review on their booking.com page. Instead of working towards improving their services, they find ways to manipulate their reviews to get higher ratings than they deserve. I would like to add that the "common" area was just a bunch of low couches filled with smokers and non-inticing at all, where the staff hung out with friends, there were shoes and socks on the ground. Also none of the staff spoke, except for one person who was the main contact with Booking.com and was not always there, hence my foreign wife could not communicate directly with any of the staff. This is for a hostel that claims that they speak multiple languages. Please avoid this hostel at all costs.

Absolutely Dreadful Experience - Avoid This Hotel at All Costs! My experience with this establishment was so appalling that I refused to even check in, and I am still fighting to get my money back. From the moment I approached the entrance, it was clear this was not a place anyone should consider staying. Firstly, the location felt incredibly unsafe. The surrounding area was unsettling, and I immediately felt uneasy. This alone was almost enough to deter me, but what followed sealed the deal. Navigating the entrance was a hazard in itself. There were at least 12 uneven steps with no clear markings or handrails, making it a serious tripping hazard, especially with luggage. This lack of accessibility was immediately concerning. Then, I was confronted with the elevator – a relic that looked and felt like it was a hundred years old. The groaning and shuddering noises it made were deeply unsettling, and I genuinely feared for my safety using it. To add insult to injury, there was absolutely no offer of assistance with luggage. After struggling with my bags up the treacherous steps, the thought of hauling them into that ancient elevator was unbearable. The overall ambiance of the entrance was frankly scary. It was dimly lit, poorly maintained, and gave off a strong sense of neglect. At this point, I had seen enough. I felt deeply uncomfortable and unsafe, and I made the decision not to check in. Despite the clearly unacceptable and potentially dangerous conditions, the hotel refused to refund my money. This is utterly outrageous. I did not receive any service, and the state of the property was so poor that it posed a safety risk. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. The unsafe location, hazardous access, ancient and likely unsafe elevator, and complete lack of customer service make this an absolute nightmare. Save yourself the trouble, the potential danger, and the financial loss.

I wouldn't give them any stars if I could. Horrible experience. As someone already mention, the house and the staircaise looks like something out of a horror movie. We arrived around 7pm and the guy who checked us in told us to take a seat as our room wasn't ready. Our room not ready at 7pm?! Suspicious! We waited almost an hour, without them telling us what was going on, before they showed us our room. It didn't look like anything in the pictures. We booked a superior double room with a balcony - there wasn't anything "superior" about that room. Bed was only half made, sheets were missing, and they left us someone else's shower sandals in there to use. We got the feeling, as right now not many people are travelling, that most of the guest "live" there and that someone else was living in our room. They quickly moved him out and a handful of guys who don't even work there, helped together to "clean" our room. No communication skills at all. I think they didn't speak a whole sentence to us. We ended up staying one night, and demanded a refund for the second night. The receptionist seemed surprised when we told him how much we paid, like he doesn't even know how much his damn hostel costs. Overpriced. They offered us a different room, but we just wanted to get the hell out of there.
