It's a small restaurant inside City star mall with the following access to Holiday Inn hotel for the residents. The atmosphere and interior conforms to the standards of a 5-star hotel, though the staff wasn't speaking good English and couldn't deliver proper clarification to certain dishes In the menu. The food was fine but too spicy for us, given the fact we requested it to be not spicy. We ordered dal makhani, shrimp biryani, vegetable biryani, masala paneer, jalfrezi chicken, samosa and Nan garlic bread. The prices are considerably higher than in other places but can be understood as dinning in the hotel's restaurant. At last, the variety of dishes were limited in my taste and lacked other dishes like chicken curry, any of the paratha, or coconut ice-cream. Instead, the menu was filled with many grilled dishes. After completing our dinner, my sweet tooth couldn't find any satisfactory desserts. Despite the nice atmosphere they offer I wouldn't repeat my...
Read moreContrary to the ratings and reviews we found online, our experience was a thorough disappointment. We didn't find anything acceptable besides the ambience. The food was way too substandard in terms of taste, it was even below amateurish with not a single item we ordered worth a second helping. The service was abysmally slow or they forgot to deliver our orders until we reminded them repeatedly. Overall, it was a disaster and not worth a repeat visit. There are so many Indian tourists visiting Egypt and so many of them are vegetarian. Even Egyptians love Indian cuisine but I guess the chefs here have got used to subpar performance as the benchmark is very low and even the restaurant owners haven't been demanding any innovation or changed chefs at regular intervals. This has led to a lethargic attitude and taking customers...

We ordered a few things from their menu and were extremely disappointed with the Chicken Tikka Masala (Murgh Tikka Masala) they sent us like a gravy of I don’t know what with some pieces of chicken with ZERO cream in it, the curry looked like a base to some of the dishes, the curry smelt of the fridge - I am guessing kept open. The Nilgiri Chicken (was on specials) didn’t taste like the description at all - Zero aroma nor taste of curry leaves! The items were okay. The bread basket was good & the Basmati Pulao was very good! I hope they work on their food & the recipes. The two stars is for the service( they were friendly), the pulao and the...
