I spent about 4 nights here. This was my fourth visit to Cairo, but first in ten years. First the standouts: Olfat in reception helped me mitigate any issues I had. She was super. Also Alma in housekeeping was very kind too. It's located next to government buildings, so it is very quiet and security is strong, although it is close to Tahir Square and the old AUC campus. A couple areas to improve: although the buffet was great- omelet- pancake guy was not. First day: omelet guy managed to burn my omelet but not melt the cheese. 2nd day- burnt pancakes. 3rd day (because I'm a glutton for punishment) omelet guy said 3 minutes for pancakes that never showed up. 4th day I was fighting some Pharaohs revenge and took toast to go. Another gripe is the Kenny G loop that plays when you are waiting for or on the omelet. I'm not sure the decision behind this but to me- it is a grating earbug that it took a few days to recover from. There was a nice looking plunge pool that was not usable as it was next to the 13th floor restaurant. Also in Egypt in the summer I'm grateful when I could get my air conditioning to 16 degrees. This hotel's room came came down to 20.

Having seen a promotion on Instagram, I went to check out breakfast in the hotel’s rooftop café. Unfortunately, the hotel does not actually offer early breakfast there; the cafe doesn’t open until 11:00 a.m. Since I was already there and hungry, I did try the main hotel breakfast, in the breakfast room on the first floor. It was pleasant enough and, at LE300 for non-hotel guests, not a bad bargain. It has the usual buffet features, including an egg station, good pastries, and a variety of hot and cold choices. However, there is no brewed coffee, only instant. I do plan to return to the roof café, which is airy and pleasant and has great views.

+ Good hotel, nice location, very close to Tahrir square and downtown. + rooms are clean, medium sized and good facilities. + breakfast are ok but don’t expect too much- they have no coffee ( extra pay). - reception stuff are not helpful as they should be. - room service ladies are very helpful and polite. You can arrive to the hotel by taking subway and get out on Sadat station ( AUC exit ) Near by ( 10 mins ) lots of traditional cafe and restaurant. Khan el Khalili und co is 15-20 mins by taxi ( 50-60 Egyptian pound) Pyramids and Grand Egyptian museum ( new) is 30 mins by taxi with 250-300 EP) Egyptian Museum (old ) is 10 mins by foot.

Acknowledgment and Appreciation to MarChapel Hotel

We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to MarChapel Hotel for its exceptional services and refined approach in dealing with its guests. Our stay at this hotel was a truly delightful experience, thanks to the facilities provided and the prompt response to all our requests.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff across various departments, especially the breakfast team whose warm welcome made the dining atmosphere enjoyable and pleasant. Special thanks go to Mr. Mohamed and all the staff in the breakfast lounge. Additionally, we deeply appreciate Ms. Shaimaa for her outstanding efforts in maintaining cleanliness, along with all the other staff who worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort.

We are also grateful to the hotel management for making our two-week stay an unforgettable experience. We even decided to extend our stay at MarChapel Hotel instead of moving to another hotel in Cairo.

A special note of thanks goes to Ms. Olfat Nasry for her exceptional services and her kind spirit in facilitating communication with us, always with a smile.

Form Mr Imadeldin Salih, Also special thanks to Shery Moheb and the breakfast chef Mohamed Karam not to mention the other staff . All in all the stay was extremely exciting and will be well recommended.

It gives us great pleasure to recommend MarChapel Hotel as an excellent choice for accommodation, thanks to its prime location and outstanding services.

With best regards and...

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. Prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to confirm availability and inquire about pricing, particularly for a late checkout. We were assured of a favorable rate, but upon arrival, the hotel unexpectedly increased the fee by an additional $30, which was equivalent to the price advertised online, including Booking fees. Given the late hour, we had no choice but to accept the change.||||The room we were given was extremely small, with barely enough space to move around. We stayed for the night but decided to leave the following day. During checkout, we were asked to wait while the staff checked the room, purportedly to ensure we hadn’t forgotten anything. However, they later contacted us, claiming there was damage and requested additional payment for a towel replacement, citing a stain they couldn’t remove after a brief attempt for 5 minutes to clean it.||||In total, we paid $80 for a small room for just 12 hours, and then were asked to cover the cost of a towel. Overall, the experience was far from...
