Avoid at all costs – this place will ruin your trip, the hotel resembles a Hospital rather then a hotel or camp.

Echoing the majority of the other reviews, our stay at Perla was nothing short of horrific. We stayed for three nights, and it was a relentless stream of discomfort, invasion of privacy, and outright disrespect. The owner is shockingly rude – treating guests like animals to squeeze money from, with zero regard for basic human decency. 3ANTAR (owner) behaved as though we were a burden rather than paying customers, snapping at us for the simplest questions and outright refusing to address any issues. To make matters worse, they quadrupled their prices compared to the original listing they sent us – a blatant scam.

Even more disturbing: the men who work there are deeply creepy. They stared at us constantly, followed us around the property, and made us feel so unsafe that we had to go to the police and file a complaint. Rather than show any concern, the owner became even more aggressive and hostile.

On our final day, things escalated. At 9am – a full hour before checkout – one of the staff tried to jam my door open while I was still inside packing. He then kept locking the door from the outside every five minutes, clearly trying to push me out. It was invasive, threatening, and completely unacceptable.

As soon as I stepped out, they brought another guest into the room immediately without even bothering to clean it. Disgusting, unsanitary, and dangerous.

But worse than the setting was the treatment by the owner, 3ANTAR, who was shockingly rude and aggressive. He acted as if we were a burden, snapping at basic questions and refusing to help with anything. The location on Agoda and Booking is wrong, this is not in Assalah! It's in Mashraba, close to the German bakery.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but if the first thing I notice after entering the room are hair on the bed and pillow, unfortunately I can't recommend the place if they don't change their cleanliness standards. Also, the shower didn't work properly so I was given another room. There was even more hair on the sheets, even on the pillow! The sheets were stained and the carpet was really dirty. They did mop the floor and change the sheets but that should be done before renting the room. The shower in this room worked fine although there was no hot water.

There are some birds in a big cage in the common area, they don't make noise but I thought it's good to know in case you're against capturing animals. If there are people in the common area late at night you can hear everything inside the room. I was lucky that it was quiet this time.

There's one staff member that was very nice and tried to fix everything the best way he could and was always ready to help. The others didn't say much.

Overall, the place isn't horrible, only by taking off the dirty carpet and making sure everything is clean this review would have been a lot nicer. I hope this review is taken as a...
