Aparthotel Adagio La Défense Le Parc — Hotel in Arrondissement of Nanterre

I stayed at Adagio Aparthotel Le Parc in late June 2025 and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations — especially given the high cost of the stay.

While the check-in process was smooth and the property itself is decently maintained, the real issues began after that. Upon returning to the apartment on the first day, we were shocked to find there was no air conditioning — something that had not been disclosed during booking or check-in. Given that we were visiting Paris during the peak of summer, this made our stay extremely uncomfortable.

Despite raising the issue with the front desk immediately, we were told only one fan could be provided for our family of three, even though we had two separate rooms (the provided bed could not accommodate 3 people). This was completely inadequate. We spent every night of our stay without proper sleep, which took a toll on our health, energy, and ability to enjoy the trip.

To make matters worse, the microwave oven in the apartment wasn’t working either. Despite informing the reception early on, no action was taken throughout the stay. This lack of responsiveness was very disappointing, especially from a hotel that positions itself as a premium aparthotel.

I specifically chose Adagio over Airbnb options (many of which were cheaper and more spacious) assuming a reputed hotel chain would ensure basic amenities and responsive service. That assumption proved wrong.

In summary:

No air conditioning in summer – undisclosed at booking

Only one fan for three guests across two rooms

Non-functional microwave – unresolved

Staff unhelpful despite repeated complaints

Overpriced for what was offered

Claimed 4 star hotel presents with a room with broken and hanging dangerous sockets, missing lamp shade with exposed wires in the bathroom ( water exposure risks ), broken handle on a door that has no functionality, small flat pillows that are not comfortable. Bathroom fittings - holder for the handheld shower kept slipping down when the water is turned on, hence all we could get was a shower to the hips, unless you used one hand to hold it up.

Central heating does not work. Rooms are provided with room heaters. Our room heater had to be changed once because it started to spark out of the front grill each time the thermostat would cut off or turn on .

Price range : Price charged on accor website claims including all fees and taxes ( as per confirmation email) to be paid at hotel. On arrival at hotel we were asked to pay city tax additionally. On asking explanation, it is dealt with by staff with reduced ability to communicate in basic English. Hence , when you arrive at the end of a long journey, you have no option but to accept.

The property is dated and may benefit from renovations .

Recommendations ; Avoid and stay at a less expensive adagio access (3 star) in the nearby area.

We travelled as a family of 4, with two young kids. We arrived quite late at night but there were no issues with accessing the apartment. It's about a 10 minute walk with suitcases etc from the train/Metro station and the escalators weren't working so getting the suitcases down the escalators required a little effort.||Once in the apartment we found it clean and tidy. The kitchenette is just that! There is no oven or toaster just a hob and an all singing and dancing microwave but we managed to cook our meals well enough. The kitchen was well equipped and the dishwasher was a big bonus. ||It was quite hot in Paris for our trip and the lack of air conditioning meant we had to keep the fan on whilst in the apartment to stay at comfortable temperature and to allow the children to get to sleep.||The pull out bed in the lounge, under the sofa had slats missing so you had to be careful where you put pressure on it.||The staff on reception were friendly and helpful when needed, especially the young man on our arrival who gave us some bottles of refrigerated juice.
