My sister & I stayed here for 5 nights. We were assigned to room 406. The hotel has a 4-star rating (I have no idea who awards this star designation). The interiors & linens (carpet, drapery, wallpaper, wall, trim & ceiling paint) need immediate updating/replacement. The breakfast & breakfast staff, as well as the hotel’s location are the best & only features this hotel offers. With the exception of Sef, the reception desk personnel were cool/cold. We had a few questions during our stay & consistently received limited information answers or incomplete details. Ex: I asked for a late check-out but wasn’t told we would be charged for same. Turned out we didn’t need the late check-out & it was only when we brought our luggage downstairs that the woman at the reception desk said something similar to, “So I won’t charge you for late check-out.” |Breakfast is served daily: variety of fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, cereals, breads, Viennoiserie, fresh vegetables, cold, sliced meats, cooked to order eggs & pancakes, coffees, tea, etc. Carefully arranged for self-service, fresh, delicious. |The breakfast area also serves as the bar. Ha! One evening during our stay the bar was closed because,”…the bartender (was) on holiday…”|Room 406 has grim & filthy draperies. The bedskirt/dustruffle is VINYL (yes, similar to a shower curtain). Paint throughout the room & bathroom is cracked & peeling. |Grim, dark, dated, dirty...

Read moreLocation: great. Comfort: reasonable. The rooms are much smaller than they appear in the photos on the website. In the first room we were staying in, the shower was above the bathtub, something absolutely uncomfortable for taking a shower! The bathroom was flooded and it was not safe to be standing in that bathtub. So I went to the reception to switch to a room in which the shower was in a shower box independent of the bathtub. It was not easy to get the exchange, because the first employee with whom I spoke did not have the autonomy to make the exchange (a tall and young man, who works tonight), while the second had no interest (a tall man with few white hair). So I talked to the third employee, a gentleman with gray hair and glasses (not so tall; a very gentle man), very elegant and polite, who arranged for the exchange quickly. Breakfast: very satisfying. Cleaning: regrettable. Room full of powder. I really don’t understand why staff members can’t clean well the bedrooms!! What’s the difficulty?? The bedroom are small!! To clean it right wouldn’t take some minutes! For the price of this hotel and the ease of getting around with the metro in Paris, you can stay in a hotel with better cleanliness. I am very grateful to the gentleman who helped us change our room at this hotel, but, in my next time in Paris, I will try a hotel next to Bar Italia Brasserie (the best Italian...
