We stayed at this hotel during August.||The Area.||It was situated in a nice area with Le Louvre, Concorde and the Opera within a ten minute walk. We felt safe there. A short metro journey on the Metro (Line 6) to the Eiffel Tower-|(20 minutes). ||We took public transport from the airport purchasing two adult and one child day passes valid for 5 days.|It cost us just under £200.|Which I thought was pretty expensive- we live in London and the daily travel card for adults is £16 and free for children under 11.||The hotel.||The reception area is small but functional.|The breakfast area -small and resembled a house kitchen. But again functional.||The hot food available for breakfast consisted of small frankfurter sausages and scrambled egg.||Good selection of pastries, basic salad, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and shredded carrots. Sliced meats, yogurts, cereal, apples and oranges.||We liked the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. |Usual breads and rolls available too. ||The Room.||I found this exceptionally poor and tiny. |It was very drab, dark, tired, in need of renovation. Our view from our window was a wall. ||There is a kettle, instant coffee granules and tea and two small biscuits. There was an empty glass re-usable litre bottle. ||There was a hairdryer and a safe free of charge to use.|Storage was absolutely dire, we lived out of our cases. There were two bedside cupboards with a very shallow top drawers. Not near enough to store anything in. The wardrobe had about ten hanger. |There was a fridge -no mini bar.|Aircon was sufficient.||The bathroom.||Very tired and old. Tiny with a very small gap to climb into the bath. The shower is over the bath.|The toilet was in the bathroom, but with a separate door. |There was soap and shower gel, no shampoo, conditioner or body lotion.|There were tissues.||Staff were ok-but MARIO was a stand out for us-lovely, friendly...

Read moreBest Western premier collection is an accurate description- it a more budget friendly hotel that is still within walking distance to some of Paris' best known sites. It is a good value for the location (right by opera house, approx. 10-15 walk to Louvre). The hotel is also within walking distance to a Roissy bus stop (travel to/from CDG) and the RER A as well as metro lines 3, 7 and 8. The hotel is clean and fairly updated (rooms are more updated than some of the hotel's common areas). It was unseasonably hot for April the night I stayed and air conditioning was available, which was greatly appreciated. ||The hotel offered both express and buffet options for breakfast. On weekdays, express started at 6am and buffet started at 7am. Express included a beverage and pastry/bread option for under 10 euros and the buffet had limited hot food options (scrambled eggs, breakfast meat) as well as bread/pastries, dried fruit, yogurt and granola. Various hot beverages and juice are also available with the breakfast buffet. Express breakfast was available at the bar and the breakfast buffet was in a breakfast room off the lobby, ||The double room was much larger than expected for a European hotel room with multiple large windows (and great blackout curtains), with TV channels in French as well as a few in English and it appeared a couple were in other languages as well. ||Note- There is construction occurring across the street. While this may be loud during the day, it did not impact my stay (was out during the day, just back in the evening). My room faced the street and there was minimal street noise overnight given the hotel's...
