Cantine de Lotus is absolutely exceptional and easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. This intimate restaurant is run by just two incredibly talented people who work with remarkable efficiency to serve their guests. Despite the small size meaning you might need to wait for a table, once you're seated the food comes out surprisingly fast and the entire experience is worth every moment.
What truly sets this place apart is the extraordinary service and attention to detail. The team was incredibly warm and welcoming to my family, taking time to share fascinating background information about the dishes and providing perfect guidance on spice levels. As someone who loves spicy food but is often disappointed by dishes that don't deliver on heat, I was thrilled to find authentically spicy options that packed genuine fire alongside incredible flavor.
Coming from San Francisco where vegetarian and vegan dining is commonplace, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this vegetarian gem in Paris. But surprise quickly turned to pure amazement once I tasted the food. This is hands-down one of the best vegan meals I've ever experienced anywhere. Every dish was crafted with such skill and creativity that it transcends categories - it's simply outstanding food that happens to be plant-based. The flavors were complex, satisfying, and utterly memorable.
The restaurant's thoughtful décor creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements the exceptional food and service. Even though my time in Paris is limited, I'm seriously considering returning to Cantine de Lotus before I leave - that's how extraordinary this place is. For anyone visiting Paris or locals looking for an unforgettable meal, this restaurant represents the very best of what dining can be. Cantine de Lotus has earned a permanent place on my list of must-visit...
Read moreThis restaurant is by far our favourite restaurant in Paris. We only visited Paris for about a week and within these seven days we came three of them to eat there. Especially close to our accommodation the choice of restaurants that offer vegetarian food was not the best and among all of the ones we saw and tried, this one is the best. The food is exceptionally tasty with a great variety to it. They are very thoughtful; not only offering chopsticks but also forks for those who cannot eat with chopsticks. It is a small place with not many tables however usually you still get a place to sit. They even offer you another place if you are already seated but people leave and a nicer one is available. The restaurant is run by a friendly family (at least, that is what we think) and the staff is easy to remember since it's always the same people as waiters. They even remembered us the last time which made our day. The restaurant itself is cozy and the decoration very adorable. All about this...
Read moreIf i could i would eat here everyday! We have to wait something around half an hour bc there was no free table. When we were standing outside they gave us menus so we will be ready to order till inside. The queue of people arise behind us not so long after. I went with the group of 4, every one of us has luggage. Despite very small space the staff took our suitcases and give us a big enough table. The staff was so lovely and considerate! All ladies speak perfect English and French. They asked us about our preferences when we choosing our order and suggested that thay can make dish less spicy if we want. The food comes quickly even tho the place was stuffed with other customers. It really tastes like it was home made with heart. Mochi was good as well For me 10/10! If I'll came back to paris I'll...
