We are here for 7 nights in a standard deluxe room and it is going to be 100+ degrees with no A/C, fridge does not work, trying to get as much cold out of it as possible, and the bathroom door is broken. The best thing here so far is the bed but we can't sleep because of the heat.

The first concierge upon check in only offered us a 50 percent refund if we chose to not stay claiming the AC was broken in all rooms and only the lobby sitting room had AC, or two fans and complimemtary breakfast buffet if we stayed. Not wanting to lose out on any money from our booking, we reluctantly agreed to try to stay and tolerate the heat.

That night we had three hours of sleep, had to take breaks in their uncomfortable lobby/sitting room with stiff outdated antique chairs, filled the bathtub with cold water, and finally gave up and opened the windows to the noisy front street with the constant smell of cigarette smoke from the Parisian street below. In the morning we could not keep our window open due to bees trying to enter the bathroom window. I am deathly allergic to bees and carry epi-pens and my wife has a chronic lung condition and is sensitive to cigarette smoke and asthma.

The next morning and early afternoon on Sunday, trying to endure our upper 90's degree room and heat exhausted after our long walk from site-seeing, a different Concierge on duty said there were still no rooms with any working A/C, but later transfered us to a downgraded single room a floor higher and told us the room on the back side of the building was cooler. The A/C fan was on and we could hear the AC unit working from outside our window on the roof, no red blinking light on the thermostat, but it only worked between hours of 8am-2pm. So after two more nights of only a few hours of sleep due to the unbearable heat we demanded a better solution from concierge.

I give the third Concierge on duty in the evenings, Bruno, five stars for his empathy and professionalism. After explaining the health sitation and unfairness of our booking at check-in, given three nights of no A/C amenity, he immediately proposed a hotel relocation and on the phone confirmed the plan with our Vistana timeshare's external hotel exchange Interval International and Expedia who had arranged the 7 night accomodation.

We were informed the manager of the hotel is on vacation during the poor situation; which seems oddly convenient as so many guests were unhappy and demanding to leave, not to mention the conditions were also not suitable for the hotel staff workers who we could tell were disgruntled as they did not make much eye contact or warm greetings, and outwardly appeared frustrated and embarrased.

Tuesday AM my wife and I went down to confirm our hotel relocation with the original check-in concierge on duty. She acted as if she knew nothing and had received no note saying all she saw was a note for relocation, which could mean to another room or another hotel she was not certain. My wife asked to read the note and she did not let her read through the French notes completely saying she would not understand. The note was so vague that she twisted it to mean whatever benefited the hotel in the moment. My wife asked her to talk to our hotel exchange and Expedia who had the plan on record; wife explained the timezone difficulty, she said she would not be on duty and another woman would be who could not answer to the problem. She asked for the contact; my wife demanded she contact expedia immediately since there are local offices. My wife insisted she keep calling Bruno to confirm the notated hotel relocation. Her demeanor changed when she had the truth, but then as she spoke with hotels to inquire on available rooms she assumed my wife couldn't comprehend French and was explaining the reason for the change due to us the client being annoyed, and not their broken AC. Wife asked her twice to ask hotels if they had AC, she did nothing but ignore her. After being relocated to new hotel the new concierge confirmed that this person mentioned nothing about broken AC...

I never visited such a poor hotel that was advertised as something worth sinning for. I felt scammed from the very first moment that I have entered this place.

Let me start from the beginning: The entrance to the hotel. There are NO signs that show that indeed, there is a hotel at the given address. I lowkey had to walk around the building a few times to make sure I was at the right address and the hotel I paid this much for, in fact, existed.

When I say I paid a lot, you probably expect me to say that I stayed for a week or so. Nah, I stayed for two nights and paid around 500 bucks. When I wanted to stay for a third night, I was told that the price would exert 900 euro. Honestly, I WOULD have paid this much if only I did not have a bad feeling about this place. Now that I exited that hole, I can tell that never in my right mind would I have stayed for another night. NOTHING about this hotel is worth paying this much for. Everything combined is worth 100€ at most.

The staircase is so narrow, I could barely carry my little bag upstairs. The entrance to the rooms is ‘undergoing renovation’ or rather, in my terms, it is untended and the owner did not have enough money to make it aesthetically pleasing.

The room? A tragedy. I have never been to such a hotel in my entire life, and I have visited a lot of hotels to be able to tell tragedy and beauty apart. It is not even a tragedy, this is straight up hell. The photos of the rooms on various websites depicted them as the most gorgeous rooms to ever have existed, everything shining, clean and oh, SUCH a sweet Parisian view. But in reality? I had a room with a view of nothing. Literally. A wall. Above the window, there were also clear signs of some water leaking inside before. The carpet was also smelling like… you know what. The pillows on the bed were so hard, I swear to God I would have preferred sleeping outside in the park somewhere, at least my view would have been better then. The bathroom was okay. Could be better but I thought it was really okay. But everything else? What the heeeeeeell.

And now my favourite part of my trip there. I was rather coping with my miserable choice of a hotel and told myself things along the lines ‘yeah I only sleep there anyway so I don’t care’ but then the situation reached a point where I decided to write reviews like this one to literally WARN people who wanted to come here for their vacation. When I booked the hotel, I was clearly told that the checkout was all the way until 14:00. I walked around the city a bit and came to check out even earlier (12:00) than I intended to but then as I tried to unlock the door my card declined. A man came upstairs and told us that the checkout time was 11:00. When I said that the website said 14:00, he said that this was the time for check-ins and THIS my sweet people was a straight up lie. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in at 21:00 and everything passed by smoothly. I believe there is no 14pm in the night, right? What a way to destroy my happy mood after a lovely time in Paris.

In summary? I wholeheartedly do not recommend. The location is fine, but this is the only good thing to say about that hotel. Rooms are trash, view from window is trash, reliability is trash. They advertise it beautifully, but all of it is one big edited lie. Save your money and go...

I will start with the positive: the location is very good, on the Rue du Rivoli near Hotel de Ville Metro, shopping, and lots of restaurants & cafes. Aside from that it was big disappointment. The photos are misleading. It is definitely NOT a 3 star hotel. It is more like a 1 star or even a hostel. Upon check-in we were immediately warned by the receptionist even before seeing the rooms that Americans are often disappointed because the rooms are so small. Small we can handle better than shabby, with stains on the carpets even in the hallways, as well as on the walls & curtains. The furniture is old & dilapidated as if purchased from a yard sale, The bathrooms in our single rooms were so tiny it was difficult to get in & out of the shower. There was a phone in my room but it was like a prop as it did not work. The safes in each of our rooms were not usable because there are no keys for them, so we had the dilemma of leaving our money & passports in the room or carrying it with us.The lights next to my bed did not work so forget reading in bed. We did not opt for breakfast so I can't comment on the breakfast room. There are lovely cafes just down the street so it is better to take breakfast out. I would not recommend for a summer stay as there is not air conditioning & only a tiny little portable fan which would be useless. I also would not recommend for a romantic stay either since there is no charm to it due to being so rundown. If the owner spent some money on paint, new carpet & curtains this hotel could be very charming & then it would be a 3 star. The staff...
