Everything they make is excellent! It took me a while to write this review but I have it every time I'm in the area and I've tried almost everything and they deserve a shoutout. Their kadaif bites are to die for, and the flavours are insane (lemon cardamom and sesame halva are among my favorites). Hot chocolate is the best in town, and so is their ice cream (try the saffron vanilla or the raspberry sumac). Their knafé is also great. The drinks they have are also great (they serve rose water, levantine lemonade and a superb mulberry drink). You might find it a little expensive but they're extremely picky with their ingredients and it makes sense given the quality. If you're lucky enough to be in Paris around the holidays, their buches and galette des rois are some of the best in town and maybe ever! Some other restaurants and famous chefs have tried to do a play on levantine patisseries/flavors and they're often big flops because it's never genuine, but that's not how things are at Maison Aleph. Also, Myriam - the chef behind Maison Aleph - and her staff are lovely and super passionate about what they do. I have zero interest in writing this review, I just love this...
Read moreFirst visit to this patisserie, I heard a lot of good things about this place and it is indeed the case. Fine, delicate, slightly sweet, crispy pastry using very good raw local products. the cheffe knew how to recreate the flavors of the middle easter, while bringing a real novelty to French pastry. I also the seller was extremely welcoming. despite the high attendance on this day, he took the time to calmly explain all of his products to me in detail with the origin and the feeling of each taste. there was so much so many choices of cakes that I didn't know what to choose. thanks to his advice, I was able to choose 3 products that best suited my expectations. I would like to thank him for his time and his kindness. I highly recommend this place, go there...
Read moreOne of my main motivations to come to Paris! Chef Walid, the founder’s brother, set up a table outside for my friend and I so we could enjoy our pastry nests and rose lattes. The rose latte was delicious and the pastry nests more so… our favorites was the one with mastic and Seville orange! Went back for more treats after our pastries, bought the pistachio orange blossom cake (wish I got 1kg instead of just 500g!), chocolate bars (orange zaatar and fleur d’orange), Levantine cake (with 7 slices - a little dry for my taste but still delicious!), and a pistachio tart! Wish I had visited Maison Aleph earlier instead of leaving till my second last day, wanted to come back on the last day but the metro was...
