We dined here twice. The first time, the food was good enough for us to get the same things again a second time. However, during our second visit, we had an incredibly shady experience with a waiter. After we walked in, sat down and ordered, he mentioned that their card machine wasn't working and they were cash only. It was wrong for him to say this after bringing our drinks. If we were informed of this before ordering, we could have been saved from this tomfoolery. We're tourists and didn't have cash on us. I ran to a couple atms and currency exchanges only to find no way to extract euro from a debit card of another currency (quickly, that is). I went back to him and told him that I have no means of acquiring cash, at which point he's clearly upset, goes over to the card machine, puts in our total and hands it to me. I was obviously confused since he said it wasn't working. I asked him what the deal was and he replied that he only takes card for transactions above 50 euros. This is nonsense since the first time we dined there, we didn't spend 50 euros and they accepted our card fine. He had no way of knowing we wouldn't order something else and go above the threshold. Not to mention that he blatantly lied that the machine wasn't working to begin with. Along with all this, he didn't even give me a receipt. I don't even know if the total I paid is accurate, though it can't be that far off.
Tl:dr shady experience with a waiter who was likely trying to pocket some cash instead of giving it to the...
Read moreTerrible. After stopping to get a beer and sit outside with my friends we realized that this place is a typical tourist trap, specially if you are in a group that will JUST DRINK. We were 8, and everyone orders their drinks. After a couple of minutes the waiter says he needs to cash everyone because the total of the table is already reaching an important amount. Well, in a reasonable world, everyone pays for what they consumed, right?! But no, at Feria café if you haven’t consumed up to 15 euros, you cannot pay by credit card and you will most likely have to figure out another way of paying the bill. After explaining this injustice to the waiter, I paid for mine and one of my friends (and this waiter was kind and accepted to do by credit card even though our beers summed 13 euros) and for the next round my friend would pay for me. All settled, but when the second round came, another waiter came, and all the struggle started again. She calls the manager or the owner who was EXTREMELY RUDE to my friend, saying that she needed to “SHVT VP” and accept the house rules. After seeing the other reviews we realized this didn’t happen only to us (complaints about the 15 euros minimum and manager/owner guy...
Read moreIt looked as a nice place to have a good beer and I actually got it. I was served by a young waiter very gentle and careful. I had a pleasant time until a certain point.
So why this low rating?
Well, literally seconds after I paid (and tipped the waiter) one guy that was (or acting like) the manager came and abruptly pushed aside the table while I was still seated and hit my ankle. I want to believe he did not notice from his position, but that’s what happened. After a short discussion, it understood that what he aimed to was to kick me out of the table to gain a few seconds to serve other customers.
So, if you still want to go there, beware because as soon as you are no longer an useful customer, you will be treated disrespectfully.
At this point I expect the manager to answer this review giving blame to the customer, as usual. But the sad reality is that that there are tens of reviews on Google speaking about the same kind of behavior. Anyone can verify.
Too bad, cause without crossing his path I would have given a much higher rating to my experience there, for what...
