Overall take: good location but wouldn’t stay here again or recommend.
Pros: Location - next to a couple metro stops and a close walk to the city center. Some of the staff was nice and very helpful, and there’s someone at the front desk 24/7. Air conditioning in the rooms as well!
Cons: There was so much black mold in the bathroom. The night manager wouldn’t move us to a smaller room that was available just for the night, because he said they couldn’t possibly clean multiple rooms for us. Instead, he kept asking if we’d like to leave the hotel for no refund for the 4 nights we paid for. He also mentioned that it’s normal for these types of things to happen, as he was staying here recently and his ceiling was leaking - so red flags all around! We were moved to a new room the next day (and I will give kudos to the staff member who helped us the next day as he was very nice), but I still got sick from staying in the moldy room. The rooms are also tiny (basically just the bed) and the bed itself is just two twin beds pushed together that splits apart when you sleep on it.
Breakfast: Ate here one day and for €12 would recommend getting food elsewhere. Tons of amazing restaurants and bakeries...
Read moreWe loved everything about this hotel, first and foremost the friendliness of staff: Ms Amina treated my family with so much warmth and support after a “disaster” situation in our previous accommodation. We never managed to tell her goodbye and thank her (hope this message reaches her). Location of the hotel is great, close to all amenities (restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, cafes) and a pleasant walk to all things central in Paris. The Marais is a great place to stay. Ok the rooms are a bit small, but hey this is Paris for you. They were cleaned daily, and towels changed on a daily basis, and facilities were new (beds, bathroom etc). While the breakfast room was small, we always found our table free and the selection was excellent. Croissants, pains au chocolat, crepes, baguette, butter, jams, cheese, eggs. Great coffee. It was a great start of the day for our family of 4. The ladies at breakfast were also extremely friendly and ready to help, super sweet with our kids. Thank you...

I booked and fully paid for 4 nights. Due to a war-related flight cancellation, I informed the hotel in advance that I wouldn't arrive on time and asked to either cancel or let someone else check in instead. They refused to cancel — but then cancelled the reservation themselves after the first night without notifying me.
When I later asked to check in for the remaining nights, they said it was no longer possible. This leads me to believe that the room was likely resold, while they still charged me for all 4 nights.
The lack of flexibility and communication was very frustrating, especially given the situation. I ended up paying the full amount for a stay I never received, while the hotel likely benefited twice.
Be very careful when booking here — especially under strict...
