Having stayed at this property pre-Covid, we were excited to return recently largely due to both its proximity to key sites (Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysee, etc) and its boutique quality. Sadly we were disappointed on a number of fronts.
Firstly, the rooms are incredibly small with very little in terms of space for personal items. The closet was minuscule, barely holding more than five items and apart from a couple of small shelves within, there was zero space for any hopes of unpacking. Instead, we had to use a small bench off of the main desk to store our clothing. Furthermore , there is zero space for your luggage which in our case was stored inconveniently just inside the front door, further complicating any free space that was left in the room.
Most disappointing was the quality of the bedding and the towels we received. The mattress was old and firm and in place of a proper fitted sheet they opted for a flat sheet that moved all night long making for a wrinkled mess and less than desirable sleeping conditions. There was no blanket but rather one heavy duvet which forced us to the AC in the height of the December cold. Moreover, on two separate occasions, the bath towels we received as part of our daily service were ripped and stained with a brown, burnt substance. One damaged towel slipping into the mix is one thing, but two times only speaks to the overall quality of their products.
Daily breakfast was equally disappointing. The one or two staff members that were assigned the two dozen tables or so were completely overwhelmed on any given day. They couldn't keep up with simple requests for coffee or tea service and barely spoke English which I have to say is surprising for a hotel in a major metropolitan city like Paris. While I personally was able to communicate in French, many in the room were not and that was visibly evident. The quality of the food was poor -- the scrambled eggs were made of powder, the hot items were not regularly replenished and glasses for juices or water were often impossible to obtain. Again this is due to lack of service both in the kitchen and on the floor. Additionally, the bartender was equally challenging not understanding how to make simple drinks like vodka soda or basic martinis. He simply shrugged he didn't understand English.
Finally, what was once a rather quaint boutique has clearly aged post Covid. The property is in dire need of a renovation on all fronts. The front desk staff I must say were incredibly friendly and willing to assist with any request.
All this to say, if you are comfortable with a 3-star clean hotel that is in walking distance to Arc de Triomphe district, you will be fine here. But a four-star property as it's marketed on their...
Read moreIt was a newly opened hotel so it was clean. There were some problems but we didn't mind as they had just opened and we were trying to be understanding. There were some facilities not ready, paint smells and some of the rooms were still under construction. It was noisy but still we didn't mind. BUT there was a MAJOR PROBLEM. it was at 2~3(?? don't even remember the time because I was asleep). we woke up with VERY LOUD SIREN. We were very scared as there were so many terrors and attacks around Europe and the hotel was right near touristic spots. I called the front desk and they hung up on me. Which made me feel even more nervous. Siren still going off VERY LOUDLY, I called again and the guy who answered (horrified voice) told us that there is something wrong that we needed to come down. We just took passports and ran down the stairs (we were afraid of using elevator) in pajamas. We got out of the building and waited outside for quite a while. My mom was horrified and shaking really bad. The siren stopped and we came into the building and the staff told us to go back to the room without any explanation. We barely slept that night. We were expecting an explanation and an apology at least. But there was no one explained us what had happened until we were checking out (for 2 days no one really cared). And nobody mentioned about it UNTIL I asked. If only I had known what was going on then I wouldn’t have that scared that time. ANOTHER PROBLEM was that three was ONLY ONE staff working that night for the ENTIRE HOTEL and he didn’t know how to handle. BECAUSE there was NO ONE except for that one staff who didn’t even know what to do in cast of an emergency that we had to totally ruin our rest of our trip in Paris. I always travel for work and leisure that I have stayed at so many different hotels. There could be different issues but by far THIS ONE WAS THE WORST NIGHTMARE EVER! They said that GM will massage about the matter and he(she) did. The GM mentioned that they have a sensitive system (ridiculous!!!) he hopes that we were happy with the complimentary late check out (which we had already asked before after staying 5 night at the hotel). The hotel might be new and clean but DEFINITELY NOT...

Rather disappointing visit this weekend at this, usually fine, small hotel close to the Arc de Triomphe.
Upon arrival on Friday night we were told in no uncertain terms that our booking was not pre-paid although it was via their own payment link with an Amex card a month before. The hotel claimed that was impossible as they did not take Amex. Even when showing them their own Le Tsuba email payment confirmation AND our Amex statement (which they claimed was actually a refund they made!?) they blocked another €1,300 (!) on our card before giving us the keys to our room. The whole saga got solved on Saturday afternoon when they finally did find our payment. (also see review from Gilmerboy re payment issues)
The Junior Suite 105, on the first floor, is facing the road and is right above the parking gate which opens at various times and is incredibly noisy. Avoid if you hope to have quiet night. Especially when paying over €500 per night for a room.
To end on the Sunday: we parked our Lime bikes right across the hotel before leaving and forgot the presents we bought in the bike basket. We realised an hour later when already in the car on the A16. When we called the hotel asking to have a quick look if they were still there they refused saying it was not a service they provided.
Being a travel agent, I am absolutely baffled by the service provided by this hotel and would recommend to stay well clear. There are plenty of little hotels in Paris who will be delighted...
