I had the worst stay in Parc Hotel Paris in the end of Februrary 2025. I had booked my room on their website which was a mistake - I should have used a booking platform so I take responsibility of my naivete. |First of all, welcome back to the nineties. This place has not seen any remodeling this century. |You've got nasty carpets and sticky dirty wallpapers (I will leave it to your imagination). Moldy bathroom ceiling and paper thin walls. Yes, you can hear your next door neighbor moaning as they are copulating so it sounds like someone is in your bed. Luckily he was a one minute man so it was a brief annoyance. |Since I was wide awake I DID FIND SOMEONE IN MY BED! .......It was a bedbug. How disgusting! |I have heard stories of Parisian hotels but again, I have been very naive at this point. |So, now I definitely cannot fall asleep so I catch the poor bedbug and I take it to the reception. I tell the receptionist that it is unacceptable and I need to change my room. He didn't strike me as the most sharpest tool in the shed so he mumbled something unintelligible and said they are fully booked. I asked to find me an alternative (e.g. a room in a different hotel) but he was unresponsive. Finally I hand him the bed bug in a tissue and say I can not possibly stay there. He looks at the bug, squashes it and says "It's not bug". WTF?! Are you freaking serious? He did not apologize nor offer any sort good customer service. Just went back to staring his computer screen and did not engage in the conversation any further. This is the worst encounter I have had anywhere. |So, after a sleepless night with a light on I see more of the bed bugs but what's the point of bringing this up if "it's not bug", right? I book myself a different hotel and in the morning I will go and check myself out. The lady at the reception had professional attitude and apologized. We discussed me leaving the hotel and getting a refund for the nights I did not intend to stay for. I asked to be refunded right away but she claimed she is just a mere worker and only her manager (who is out of town, of course) could do it. Naturally I was supposed to e-mail the hotel to get the refund as there was no other way. She confirmed me the amount which I were to get back and said that the refund normally takes three days. GUESS WHAT?! |It took a LOT OF E-MAILING and A LOT OF TIME and NERVES. I never got the amount I was promised (received about 40 eur less than promised) and it took me more than a month to get my money back. |So, in a nutshell: don't ever give this hotel your business unless you hate yourself....
Read moreWe were a group of four guests who booked two rooms. The rooms were never cleaned, and the bedsheets were never changed. We discovered this because the same stain was on the sheets throughout our entire stay. There were also nails on the floor, most likely left behind by previous guests, which was really disgusting.||When we booked the hotel, we paid for breakfast because it was offered as part of the package. However, when we arrived, the receptionist, told us we would have to pay extra if we wanted the "full" breakfast, which included eggs and other items. The "included" breakfast turned out to be just coffee, juice and croissants. The next morning, five other guests were arguing with the hotel staff, because they had paid the extra charge for the full breakfast, which was never mentioned in the description.||To make matters worse, before we checked out, the receptionist, who was a woman with glasses, assured us that the deposit we paid at check-in would be refunded in 2-3 days. The next day, however, we received an email saying we wouldn’t get the deposit back because they claimed we hadn’t paid when we left. This is completely false—we paid both the tourist tax AND the deposit when we checked in. The email also accused us of smoking in the room, which is a lie. We never smoked inside; the receptionists saw us every time we stepped outside to smoke.||Additionally, we noticed people who weren’t staying at the hotel constantly walking in and out, which made the environment feel very unprofessional and uncomfortable. ||Finally, every day before we went out, we would pack all our belongings. However, one evening when we returned to the hotel, we found that one of our makeup bags had been opened, and items had been taken out and left outside. It was clear that the staff had gone through our things, which was incredibly invasive and completely unacceptable.||It's incredibly unprofessional to lie and treat guests this way. From unclean rooms with stained sheets and nails on the floor, to misleading breakfast charges, false claims about deposits and smoking, and staff going through our personal belongings, the entire experience was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor—save your money and find a...
Read moreHi,||||This review is not specific to Hotel Parc but in general about hotels in Paris. I have experienced this with two hotels in Paris.||||Incident One with Parc Hotel Paris.||||I went to the Hotel Parc. I have made a booking for a room through booking.com. For payment, I presented a credit card to the hotel receptionist. The hotel receptionist told me that the payment is declined. I presented him with another card, even for this card, the receptionist told me that the payment is declined.||||The next day I saw the hotel had charged me twice on the same credit card which was supposedly declining the payment. One charge was made at the same time when this receptionist told me the payment is declined.||||I had asked them to refund my money. They declined to refund saying it is the cancellation fee.||||Now, this is about another hotel.||||I checked in the evening, made a payment through a credit card. The payment was successful. The next morning this hotel charged me again on the same credit card for the same amount.||||I checked it with the hotel. The hotel receptionist said that he did it because he thought I have not made the payment. This guy did not bother to check before charging. ||||Its more than a week I have not received my refund. The hotel is very defensive saying that they have refunded and I should check with your bank and it is now my problem.||||I felt the hotels in Paris are in general unprofessional and crooks.||||I have visited more than 15 countries but I have never come across such behaviour from the hotels. ||||I will never visit Paris again, nor I will suggest anyone visit this city. Even someone wants to visit it, I will suggest them to be careful...
