I think it is safe to say that the only upside to this hotel is it’s location.|The staff was not in particular coming off as friendly, and midway through checking in, the woman behind the front desk starts conversing with her coworker. I do not know if this was of any relevance to the checkin as they spoke in french, but it did not appear so. I had pre-payed my room, but upon checking in I was to pay some tax fee, which was not info I had been given prior. It was only a few euros, so that in itself wasn’t a problem. However despite just having put in my credit card information to their system, they could not accept card payment for this without an additional 10€ fee. So I ask for directions to the nearest ATM, which it seemed like she did not understand. I assume it to be language barrier, but I would expect the reception to at least speak enough english to be able to answer this. Otherwise it did not seem that English was much of an issue to her, so I am confused by this fact. Regardless, it was not a very pleasant encounter overall. Upon taking my credit card number, I noticed that she also took the 3 security numbers on the backside of my card. I have since changed my credit card for this reason.|I had during my booking requested a room with a bathtub, which I did not get. The hotel room looks shabby with stains at the carpet, no light in the ceiling in the main room. There is one room for the toilet and one with a shower. The bathroom/toilet light is set to register motion, which makes it turn off after a couple of seconds, and the flush of the toilet was not properly working either - needed to be jammed in a couple of times before it would work. The door to the room with the bath was broken and closing it was a hassle. I notified the staff on the evening of the first night - the immediate question was “what happened?” as if it was something I should have done. I explained that since it is a sliding door and it is not attached to whatever is supposed to make it slide, it needs to be lifted in order to be closed. The staff, who was a different one from when I checked in, was however, a lot more polite than the woman from earlier. He apologised because he was alone and could therefore not leave the front desk to check on the matter. I asked if I could be moved to a different room then, but the place was fully booked. The door was never fixed during my stay.|I did not expect anything fancy when booking a room here, but I expected at least things such as light and doors to be in order and that the room would be clean.|The walls are dirty several places and anything but sound proof. I was located on the 6th floor and the noise of the traffic was pretty loud considered this. I could even hear the faint noise of people talking down at the street.|There were not provided a blanket - which is fine since it was so hot in the room here during summer, and the room got no AC. They did provide an extra thin bedsheet, which was perfect for the temperature - however, upon removing that bedsheet, the underlying one had a stain on it. It did not seem unwashed, so I was not worried about it being unclean. However, with everything else about this hotel room being less than up to scratch, this really did not manage to go unnoticed by me.|The breakfast I also pre-booked. I did not expect a wide selection or anything fancy, but even with low expectations, this place managed to disappoint. They had a few types of bread, some jam, coffee, tea and the smallest jug of juice I ever saw. There were some small yoghurts as well. Even at hostels, I have seen better breakfast than this. The bread was dry and tasteless. Overall it was a highly unpleasant hotel to be at. Never...
Read moreWorst hotel in the world. On arrival when we were checking in the manager (which i didn't know at the tine) was fighting with a cleaning lady. He threw a bunck of keys at her and was shouting at swearing. We were 3 females. We booked for 3 nights but left after 1 night. Our rooms had no lights, the ceiling in our bathroom was missing and only had weird bars and wires along it. I felt like i was being watched. We were told we'd be charged extra for using more toilet paper. We booked 2 twin rooms but was given 1 double bed room and 1 twin room. Extremely noisy outside at night and could not sleep, could hear women screaming (in discomfort) at night and men shoutingand swearing on the street till 4am. Very rough area, men loitering, harrasing and following women during the day can't even imagine what happens at night. A man right outside the hotel asked me if I had some change I politely told him "sorry I don't have any change" and he began swearing and shouting at me in French eventually I had to go back into the hotel to avoid him. Groups of men will stand outside the metro stations and the Gare du nord Station and will block your way, harrass you and try touching you. Sone men also followed us shouting in french for long periods of time. we couldn't take the harrasment anymore as we were genuinely scared and decided to just take ubers everywhere which left us broke. The bed was so dirty with yellow stains on the duvet we slept in our clothes over the bedsheets. We had to leave our key with the receptionist everytime we left the hotel. We left the hotel after 1 night and decided to stay at disneyland instead. This hotel and the area gare du nord ruined our holiday. I will never go back to paris again after the trauma. This hotel should not be on these website, extremely unsafe hotel especially for women. I 100 percent believe this is a sex hotel. Awful...
Read moreWORST HOTEL EVER Terrible staff, treated us with extreme hostility and was racist towards Asians. One of the staff inappropriately pushed my 12-year-old on her chest when we refused to leave the room key at the reception and when we came back, the boss (caucasian man) physically put himself in front of the elevator door to prevent us from going up to our room, proceeding to loudly shout at my child and I while three other staff cornered us, making my daughter extremely afraid. Then, the boss threatened to come into our room and leave the door open if we do not leave the key at the reception again. The room’s door was very hard to shut and the carpet of the room was moldy and stained. They promised to clean the room daily and after three days of living there, they still had not cleaned it once and only did so when we tracked down the housekeeper and told her to clean the room. We stayed there for nine days and they only cleaned it twice. The shower was leaking and the TV could not connect to any channel so we could not watch any TV during the Olympics 2024. There weren’t any kettles in the room nor the reception so we could not drink any coffee or tea. Couldn’t fall asleep at night because of the noise from the cars, restaurants and the train station on the streets. Insects were found everywhere in our room, bed, desk and washroom. We also could not eat in our room which the boss made very clear by, again, shouting at us when my daughter came in with a sandwich in hand. The location was conveniently right opposite a metro/RER/train station and there are a couple of supermarkets near it but there are also lots of weird people with mental disorders walking around screaming and one of them even grabbed my daughter by the face while walking past us. We do not expect a quality stay but this was not acceptable. Staying here was an absolutely...
