Did the job. Clean and comfortable. Slightly basic facilities (no wardrobe or kettle), but wifi and shower good which is more important to me. Friendly/helpful staff, free glass of cider/apple juice in the afternoon. A little road noise by the ‘main’ road but it’s St Malo - not that busy! No sea views but very short walk for a swim (unless the tide is out! In which case it’s five times further). Lovely sandy beach (supposedly won best in France last year - seems a bit of a stretch - but it is nice). Location is 10 mins walk to the old town - along the beach/seafront. Read moreLooked great, but parking hard, lift got stuck with myself and children in it, finally managed to get out after about 15 minutes-children in a mess by this point-to walk into a “family” room which was furnished with what looked like ex office furniture. When I spoke to staff about the lift i was told it didn’t happen that the lift worked well. The only two drawbacks were the smell in the lobby area, which we found a bit unpleasant due to the café kitchen nearby. Around lunchtime, the smell of cooking becomes quite noticeable, and we had expected the space to be more pleasantly scented.
