Restaurant 1934 — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

It was our first time at Restaurant 1934 based on a recommendation. Very nice atmosphere and a fantastic view on the harbor. We a got really nice table at the window and enjoyed our evening. Food selection and wine card are really good. Only the service personnel seemed to be a bit unorganized. Especially one of the female waitresses was pretty unmotivated (not including this into my overall rating). We had 3 different starters to share and 2 main courses. All were really tasty (a little less salted but I’d rather add salt then having a dish which is completely over-salted)

Visited Saint Malo from England this June and wanted somewhere with a nice atmosphere and delicious food to eat. This place was near the hotel we were staying in so decided to try it out. The viewa of the harbour are beautiful and the waiting staff couldn't have been more friendly: they described the dishes on the menu in English and recommended a fabulous wine. We had such a nice evening we decided to go back for a second night. The staff recognised us and again suggested food and wine they thought we would enjoy. One thing we ordered had run out so the chef made a replacement which was outstanding. Fully recommended to anyone...

Very nice restaurant with good food. The quality of the salmon and the steak was excellent. Unfortunately the service was lacking: We were not asked how we wanted the steak: when served it was well done, but we expected medium rare - our complaint was not really considered, not were we offered any compensation. Also the "selected cheese of the season" which I took for desert was uninspiring supermarket fare and a very small serving on top. Here again my complaint was not really taken. Pity, because the quality of the food, the kitchen and the location...
