Le Grand Tetras — Hotel in Thonon-les-Bains

I can’t praise or recommend this little gem of a family hotel highly enough. It’s not much to look at but a warmer welcome than that which I and my family received over the Christmas period 2021 would be hard to imagine.||It goes without saying that the hotel is clean and comfortable. It’s very close to the town centre and the views are stunning. Many of the rooms have a balcony too and there is parking by arrangement.||Breakfasts are fresh and plentiful and for those staying on a half-board basis The evening meals were masterful. Two of my party are vegetarian and the hotel coped without a problem, preparing attractive and tasty meals in huge portions. They even rustled up a three course meal for my vegan daughter who was visiting.||Mariona and Cyril were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is also great value. Just returned from a week's stay as a group of 16. The hosts Mariona and Cyril run a super hotel with excellent service. The rooms were cozy, clean, and functional, the food was really excellent, and the boot room was a good size with boot warmers and plenty of space to get ready before heading to the slopes. The location was beautiful with great views. We got the free shuttle bus each morning (2 mins walk from the hotel) and actually walked back at the end of the day as a really pleasant walk with some nice bars en route! (approx 15 mins walk) but we could have caught the bus if needed. We were recommended the hotel by friends and now we have visited were totally recommend it to others. Thank you Mariona, Cyril, and the team for such a fantastic stay - we will be back for sure.||The Bryant...
