Les Rhodos Restaurant — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

Avoid this below par establishment!! Not an ounce of customer service. Me and a friend walked in for lunch, beers and football. We were greeted by a man who apparently seats customers, but doesn't take orders...? Leaving one waiter to serve this large bar. You can see that he was stressed. Anyway back to the first guy he was insistent we sat with our backs against the TV, we politely asked him to have another table but he declined. His opinion was that it was fine. A very important rule in business do not make assumptions on behalf of the customer. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before being served. When an efficient solution would have been the first guy serve us.

We ordered starters which were brought with the mains? Whats the point? Its called a starter for a reason.

The food was below standard, honestly plain. The chicken wings which apparently are the most popular item were absolutely horrendous. Soo plain! Not an ounce of flavour. We ate half of one plate and left the other. We challenged this when paying the bill and we were bombarded with threats of them calling the police for 8 euros. Apparently we were haggling, yet I'm holding 200 euros in my hand.

The man from earlier was very rude and continued to give his opinion on how great the wings are... he admitted to trying the ones we left. Not very professional.

At no point did anyone check our food was good? A very basic standard you get at mcdonalds. Avoid so many better establishments in the area. No doubt the owner will respond with a poor response further highlights the poor...

Amazing find. My friend and I booked the Rhodos for a long weekend of skiing. It was great value for our dates and close enough to everything in morzine so we dived in. Upon arrival we discover we had half board inclusive of the price already paid. This was a pleasant surprise, thinking we might get a packed lunch to take with us skiing. But it just kept getting better, we were told it was for a evening meal and 3 courses at that. My friend and I arrived in the dinning area with a little trepidation thinking how good can a free dinner be....? Well, we were both absolutely blown away by the quality and service provided. No school dinners and lukewarm buffet here. Table service of delicious top end pub dinner every night. It's a set menu that changes daily, after the first nights fish and chips we knew we had dinner covered for the rest of our stay. Staff were polite, attentive and the food was great. Highly recommend, great place to chill out after a big day on the peist. Hotel amenities were good and room very clean. Comming back next year for sure,...

Booked a table for 7.30 but not given in the restaurant. Not informed that it would be a table in the bar. Bar service did not let us know to order at the bar. Standing waiting to order for over 10 minutes. Still no service. Got up and left. We had a akeaway on an earlier date and the pizzas were burnt. No customer service at this bar. I think they are under new ownership but website not updated. Very misleading. Open mic night/live music on a Monday does not happen. Staff very poor and doesn't know what is going on. The bar staff and management seem very disorganised. Just poor we don't think we will...
