AliKats - Chalet Melodie & Chalet Harmonie — Hotel in Thonon-les-Bains

We stayed in Chalet Harmonie in August as an extended family of 3 generations (and a dog!). It was perfect! Each room had an en-suite and beds could be made up as doubles or singles to suit the group. The bedrooms were decent size and very comfortable (the kids wanted to take the beds home!). The kitchen and living area was big and had plenty of room for all 11 of us, and there was also a balcony with a big table and hot tub. The Chalet is equipped with everything you could possibly want or think of, down to a fondue set and kitchen weighing scales! Everything is to a very high standard.

The hosts were also fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

As for the location, it is so central! It is right next to the big carrefour, making shopping easy, and a short walk to the other shops, restaurants and ski lift. There is a lovely park a nearby which was lovely to walk the dog in and cool off in the little stream.

It should be noted that it is in a valley and the town is up some steps/slope which could be challenging for some less able-bodied, but there is also a lift a short distance away which can take you all the way to the top of...

We stayed at Chalet Harmonie in July as a 3 generation family, including 3 kids aged 2 months to 4 years old. We all had a fantastic time, it was the perfect location to come back to after a busy day exploring all that Morzine has to offer. It’s right next to the Carrefour supermarket and to the Intersport steps and lift, making it super convenient for pushchairs (if the Intersport’s closed it’s a short walk down to the lift at the park taking you directly up to the Supermorzine lift, bus stop and town centre). We all agreed that we would definitely stay again; the Alikats team were fantastic, responding to any queries promptly and providing helpful suggestions. They also provided all the baby gear we requested from high chairs to changing mats, which was brilliant! Lovely outdoor terrace with hot tub and BBQ, useful boot room to store bikes etc and parking right next door to the Chalet. My family and I stayed at Chalet Harmonie this summer and had the most incredible time. There is so much to do in Morzine - hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, swimming, canyoning, zip wires… Plus many delicious restaurants to eat at (thank you Bec Jaune, La Grange, Au Bon Coin & Colibri) and the cocktails at Nabor Restaurant, at the top of the Pleney, are amazing. Chalet Harmonie couldn’t have been a better base to do all this, and relax and socialise every evening. It’s spacious, modern but very comfortable, has a Jacuzzi, an outdoor terrace, a fabulous kitchen, cinema room, and was just perfect. Al, Rowena, Sarah, Joe, Rachelle, Rod, and all the team made our stay even more special with useful tips, incredible cuisine, and freshly ground coffee.
