Room.545||Night from 3rd to 4th July.||From where shall I start? The receptionist was very unfriendly and rude. We parked the car 50mts from the hotel and planned not to have breakfast due to covid19: she insisted on car park and breakfast thrice and then her facial expression was so rude that we were simply speechless. Listen, this is our first hotel after covid19 lockdown: if we bother you as customers, then send us to another hotel. The room was 70eur. We just wanted to sleep here for a stop in our journey. The surprise was the room: filthy (the dust...) and smelly. Very basic. It is a 3star hotel.. we are not expecting to be at Negresco Hotel but at least we had the sensation the room was not clean enough, especially with Covid19. The window curtain is revolting, full of whatsoever stains. There is only 1 plug; you can connect 2 devices at the same time.. it looks like we're back to the 80s.||Half of the international TV channels do not work. But the worst part is the bathroom/toilet:you need to step in the shower (maybe a 50cm step) and there are NO HANDRAILS. The tap is near your knees and... surprise surprise I fell when leaving the shower. It's 1am and writing this review from the VERY HARD bed of this hotel, with a painful arm and unable to sleep. I will double check with French law if the way they have the shower in this room is safe and legal. In Germany, Spain or UK it will be totally illegal. This is my experience at Ibis Vichy. You should be rated...
Read moreTo start with this is an IBIS hotel not made clear at all at any point. This isn't known until you cant find the hotel. We went into ask where it was and found out at that point. Our room was very small with no tea or coffee facilities. There was a communal kitchen but no kettle only microwaves to heat water. It wasn't clean either. The whole level smelt of urine and cigarettes and reminded me of poor student/hostel accommodation. The carpets were extremely stained. The rooms had tiled floors, understandable for pet friendly rooms.||We were in bed for an hour or so, my husband turned over and the bed collapsed. Now being 11pm, I went to reception. No apology only feeling like an inconvenience being told I had 'bad timing'. I had to battle to get another room. We had no help to move rooms and no offer of apology, compensation or to see if we were ok after the incident. We were moved to a 'Superior Room' what a joke. Black mould covering ceiling in shower room. No facilities at all on this floor.||Windows fixed shut with screws. No meaning of escape in fire.||The breakfast was continental and costs 12€ which was expensive considering it was basic. We didn't use this facility due to cost. ||All in all a very bad experience that had put us off staying with IBIS again so much so we have already cancelled other...
Read moreThe guest rooms in this hotel are a much better size than you would normally find in an Ibis. I take the view that Accor probably bought the hotel from another operator, and that it was not built as an Ibis.||As a result, there is adequate wardrobe space and the bathrooms are not cramped.||||The hotel has a good restaurant. In good weather, outside seating is available.||||The hotel has underground parking which is chargeable. At the time of my visit, this was costing €7.50 per day, which strikes me as reasonable for Vichy. There was plenty of space in the parking, there were no difficult or unsatisfactory access ramps. In addition, the elevators go down to the parking levels, which facilitates easy transfer of luggage on arrival and departure. I experienced some problem with internet access during my stay, but fortunately, it was short lived.||||If I return to Vichy, I may stay at...
