Dissatisfaction with our recent stay at this hotel from December 24th to December 27th, booked via Voyage Privé. While I had high expectations based on previous positive experiences with your platform, this trip fell significantly below the standard I anticipated. Below are the main issues we encountered during our stay:
Parking Issues Upon arrival around 8 PM, we were informed that no parking spaces were available. We had not been notified in advance that parking required a reservation or that it was a paid service. As a result, we had to find alternative parking nearby, incurring an additional cost of €50. This lack of communication regarding parking arrangements was both frustrating and unexpected.
Restaurant Inaccessibility After a long and tiring journey, we had planned to dine at the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, it was unavailable due to an oven stuck in cleaning mode. The only alternative offered was snacks from a vending machine, which we do not consider an adequate dining option.
Room Comfort While we were aware that the room would be small, its layout was uncomfortable and gave a claustrophobic impression. The lack of closets and limited space to move around made it impractical. Additionally, the bed was too high and uncomfortable, and the air conditioning, set at 23°C, left us dehydrated and uncomfortable after the first night.
Insufficient Housekeeping We requested housekeeping service (as it is not automatically provided), but only clean towels were delivered. The sheets were not changed, and the room was not properly cleaned, which is unacceptable.
Unreliable Wi-Fi The Wi-Fi connection was so weak that we had to ask reception multiple times to reset the router. Even after that, the connection in our room remained unusable, forcing us to leave the hotel room to access the internet.
Overall Experience Although the reception staff were friendly, they were unable to offer effective solutions to our issues. Overall, the stay felt like the hotel prioritized cost-cutting over providing basic comfort and services.
The only positive aspects of our stay were the hotel’s location and the quality of...
Read moreIt is a shame after reading some reviews and what others were complaining about. It seems the hotel is a year old or so, so it may have been improving since then from those customers negative remarks. You can control the temperature in the room and the system seems fully functional, even in the winter season.
Though my room was facing the public street, I didn't hear any noise of cars or people. Maybe me being from NYC, I didn't notice. But still, overall experience in my room is quiet, clean, nice and was spacious enough for me. Under bed, plenty of space to store atleast 3 suitcases. Shower and towels and bathroom were clean and luxurious.
Staff was very accommodating, and met several staff members who even spoke Czech and other languages, but English was good enough for me. I can't talk about parking, since I didn't drive. But I overheard another customer stating that Baden Baden was small city where you don't need a car to get around, and it seems the public transportation was very reliable.
Breakfast in the morning was very well prepared and very tasty, but no other food options except snacks for afternoon or evening, but plenty of shops and food around to eat that are very close to hotel.
Personally, my only downside was the TV. It was big (55inch), and probably was 1080 or 4k. But the input (any other HDMI slots) were locked which I thought was very unusual given that the hotel technology was very up to date. The staff did try to help and even sent a technician but there was nothing that can be done. I really would like to have an explanation as to why this was, especially since was here for a long stay!
Wi-fi was good in room and all around the building.
Looking at the other reviews and understanding that they have improved on all the complaints, I hope this one tiny issue with TV can be fixed. I would stay here again and I would also recommend the stay. It still is a 5 star in my book! Thank you for the wonderful staff...
Read moreAs a frequent traveler, I had the pleasure of staying at the Tribe Hotel in Baden-Baden and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. Here's a breakdown of my stay:
Positives:
Good Value: The hotel offers excellent value for money, providing top-notch facilities and services at a very reasonable price. New and Comfortable: Being a relatively new establishment, the hotel boasts modern amenities and decor. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Excellent Location: Situated in a prime spot, the hotel provides easy access to local attractions and conveniences, making it an ideal base for exploring Baden-Baden. Friendly Staff: The staff at Tribe Hotel were outstanding. They were always on hand, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
Areas for Improvement:
Hotel Doors: While the large and heavy doors are great for soundproofing and ensuring quiet nights, they don’t always shut immediately. Guests should be mindful to check that their doors are properly closed for security. Access to Spa: The walk to the nearby spa is quick, about 2 minutes, and mostly enjoyable. However, the immediate exit from the hotel involves crossing the entry road to the spa car park and navigating over a road reservation. This can be a bit tricky, especially in frosty conditions, as I experienced a slip on one such night. Room Lighting: Although the rooms are trendy and well-designed, they can feel a bit dark, particularly when there’s no natural light. This aspect might need some attention to enhance the overall room ambiance.
Conclusion: Overall, my stay at Tribe Hotel was exceptional. The positives far outweigh the minor areas for improvement. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Baden-Baden, whether for leisure or business. The comfort, location, and friendly atmosphere make it a top choice...
