Zamui — Restaurant in Baden-Baden

We visited this restaurant 20231228 at 2100 due to it's close proximity of our hotel. The atmosphere was good and at first the server was pretty welcoming. Upon receiving our menu's and after less than 10min our server returned to us and stated to us in a very rude and unprofessional manner that we needed to "choose quickly" because the kitchen is going to close in 20min. The time was 2108. So we chose our appetizers then our main course. The server came back to us after 7min and said one option (the shrimp wrap) wasn't available. So we chose another one. The appetizers took a while to come out. While we were waiting another couple came in and was seated next to us. The same server as we had attended to them, took their drink order, and told them to "take their time" to decide on their order. Finally our appetizers arrived and about 5min later our main course arrived. While eating another couple arrived then a party of four. They weren't told to "choose quickly" and weren't pressured into ordering. In addition to all of this taking place, not once did the server come by and ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything else. We we informed her that we were ready to pay, she rudely stated "that we pay upfront". Before she walked away I informed her that it was very rude and unprofessional to tell customers to choose quick on their orders especially when other customers walked in after us. She stated (again being rude) that's what her boss told her to say and walked off without giving an apology. When we paid our tab usually I tip very well but did not this time. While the food was absolutely amazing the service was below standard. We will not patronize this establishment ever again. Servers need be trained more in proper...

We have been frequenting this restaurant for 4 years now and, until tonight, has been a wonderful experience. We have never experienced such poor service at any restaurant before.

The waitress was rude and tried to ignored us the entire evening. At one point, she simply walked away when my wife was in mid-sentence asking for water. We had to ask multiple times for the bill and, we only got the bill when we had our coats on and I asked the chef instead of our waitress.

If they can't handle a full restaurant, they need to hire...

absolutely disappointing. Service catastrophic, drinks and food forgotten, next table that came later received drinks beforehand, which puzzled me, the hint that we would like our drinks, then the service staff noticed that our food was not narrow-minded either. I then expected that we would at least get the food in front of the next table, unfortunately it wasn't like that. In addition, the quality of the sushi was disappointing, the makis fell apart in our hands...
