I booked this hotel as a city break for my boyfriend and I. I had high expectations due to both reviews and the fact it is a 4* hotel. Sadly, what I arrived it was not the case. The lobby, stairwell and corridors were intensely gloomy, there was a large hole in the window of the stairwell which had not been patched up and blew cold air through it. Once I arrived into my room, it looked pleasant enough however. Although, after looking about, there was a large brown stain on the mesh curtain, stains all up and down the headboard and dirty handprints on the frosted glass bathroom door. The glasses in the bathroom were dirty with hard specks stuck to it (removed when picked at and rinsed) and the duvet cover had blue stains which looked like paint. The room was also very dusty. I found the staff to not be that friendly and quite detached too. Overall, I definitely wouldn't rate this hotel a 4* and i'd question who gave it its 4* in the first place. The only positive thing I would have to say about this hotel is the area in which it is located. Other than that, I feel like I've wasted a lot of money...

Friendly staff, (apart from one of the evening staff who came and went to our room without nocking on, wile we was in the shower, making himself at home sitting on our bed ect. Howother girls might enjoy that to me thats overstepping the mark). It is in a great location ,Easy for trains and buses. Restaurants amazing around the hotel.The room was some what a dissaponent. We booked a lux room and looks more like a standered. The air con or what ever it is so load. Water trickels down your toilet for about 3 hours preventing you from flushing your own toilet witch must also be connected to what ever is wrong with plumming. We ordered hot drinks to our room and they were still there 3 days later. Didn’t wipe down bed side tables. Dirty towels had been folded and put back. Room is quite dark with all the lights on and blinds open. Bedding wasnt changed for the 5 days we had been there. Breakfast €12 just standard lidil meat and cheese with scrabbled eggs and cerial selection. Witch i have to say was nice but when you stay at a hotel in englad and get a full englash for £8.
