Hotel Logotel — Hotel in Eisenach

The hotel has a good location in the outskirts of Eisenach, approximately a 10 minute walk to the marketplace with the offering of free parking. At arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and answered questions we had concerning the city and the Wartburg castle. We had two different rooms, one standard and one superior. The superior room was very nice, well-decorated with pleasing colours, a newly decorated bathroom with a walk-in shower, a sitting area and comfortable sofa. We also appreciated the kettle for making tea and coffee as well as the complementary water. The standard room was acceptable, the only negative remark was that the floor was made of a type of linoleum and was really cold to walk on. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. I stayed in this property, I did go previously at the PENTA ex COURTYARD, which I found ok but really far from activities and inconvenient, you really need to take the car to go downtown for visiting ...||||PROS:||- extremely nice, friendly and efficient staff||- pretty good restaurant ||- central, 5 minutes walk to the centre||- parking was easy and convenient||- place very easy to find, a straightforward ride||||CONS:||- room was clean but fairly standard, no mini-bar, TV offer only with German programs||- the proximity of the railway line was disturbing, noise||- surrounding, looking from the window not especially pleasant, railway line and parking lot ....||- curtain to short and narrow, was awaken in the early morning by the light ....||||NOT A BAD PLACE BUT HAVE STAYED AT...

We recently traveled through Germany relying on the local tourist offices for locating a hotel for us. After finding several hotels without rooms (either closed or full, not sure which), we were able to find a room here. The hotel is located not far from the train station and within walking distance of the main town center. The room was clean and quiet and had a good shower. There is internet access in the lobby. The breakfast was plentiful and good. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and found it good, also. Parking lots are across the street and behind the hotel; a covered parking lot is adjacent, but costs 5 euros. I would say this place is comparable to a Hampton Inn in the US.
