It’s a struggle to find anything positive about this hotel. There was something immensely sticky on the entire countertop in the bathroom. Found a pubic hair on the sheets – lovely. There is dust everywhere. See picture for one example. Even in the library, you could see where objects had been dusted around except for 3”. The USB port did not work. The air conditioning says 16°, but I would be shocked to find it was lower than 22. (When I asked if the front desk could adjust it for the night, I was told they cannot do that on the second floor rooms, only the third and fourth floor |rooms.||Wi-fI- trying to get on the net work much less stay on was a constant battle. As I wanted to get some work done that required the Internet, I was unable to do so. Maybe because I’m on the second floor? Insert sarcasm. || Only one outlet by the bed (1 side only). Shower water very weak. Breakfast was not tasty, although there was a large variety. The toilet paper is VERY rough. I felt like I was in 1935-Russia. ||However, the location is pretty decent, across from the train station. There is another area closer to a pedestrian area and with some shops that I would choose for a next time. It was VERY quiet! The lounge is nice. The staff were super invested to do what they could to fix issues; e.g., the AC. I left adapters behind and they let me borrow a couple of them. I needed papers printed and they did this as well. You have to (you want to) leave the room keys behind, but retrieving them upon return was quick. The mattress was very comfortable!||I would not stay here again, unless it was in the dead of winter when I could open the window. The only real redemption to this hotel...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel with my wife for one night, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. The hotel advertises on-site parking, but the limited spaces were all taken. We were forced to find street parking in the busy bar area on a Saturday night. Nearby parking garages were all closed at night, adding to our frustration. Even if you do manage to park at the hotel, you have to haul your luggage up a few stairs to reach the lobby and elevator, which is inconvenient.
Upon entering our room, we were shocked by how small it was. It felt more like a camper van than a hotel room. Despite being advertised as a room for two, there was only enough space for one nightstand. The other side of the bed was boxed in, forcing us to crawl over each other to get in and out of bed. The mattress was worn out, and we both woke up with sore backs.
The prices were outrageous considering what little they offered. It felt like they are nickel-and-diming their customers, as none of the amenities were free apart from a single bottle of water.
The only redeeming feature of this hotel is its location but that alone doesn't justify the high cost. For a hotel that claims to be 4 stars, this was totally...
Read moreThe Good: Nicely located in front of the main station, breakfast is well diversed, room was clean, and the walls are sound proof. The Bad: Lights went out in my room in the middle of the night, and they could neither fix it nor offer me another room, nor a refund! The Ugly: The receptionist supervisor could be way more friendly. To be fair the receptionist was friendly until his supervisor interrupted the conversation and started shouting at me! There is neither a fridge nor a minibar in the room (which is weird for a 4 star hotel!), and they are unbelievably persistent on phishing guest data! Upon check-in I was asked to sign an authorization for them to keep my data beyond the normal legally allowed period, and when they knew that I was there on business, they asked for my business card, and additionally insisted on getting my own personal address! Since when is it an obligation to share additional business data than what the hotel has been already given for...
