Hotel NH Mannheim — Hotel in Mannheim

Currently now staying in the hotel on second floor. Have been already in the hotel for 2 weeks. The best is the kitchen and front of the house staff, they are friendly and helpful. But the room service really needs to be improved. Sometimes it is so horrible:( its unbelievable.I had tea spots on the table, dust and spiders in the bathroom, every corner has some disgusting hairs in the bathroom and so on ....for almost a week :( and nobody cleaned it until I did it by myself. They only come for rolling a duvet and that's it. For 2 weeks they even didnt want to change my linen until I asked🤷‍♂️ once the cleaner came and asked me to use the phone from my room, thenwas standing in the middle of my room and talking donno who with for at least 5 to 10 minutes again disturbing 🤦‍♂️I had to wait him finished. When they enter even dont wait. First open then say service. It is quite horrible. My colleagues have the same experience. The only thing what they do rolling duvets and filling the mini bar up and that's it. I have the same rubbish under my bad since I arrived. Luckily tmr I'm moving to another one. Conclusion: super good food, friendly front of the house staff both restaurant and bar, good looking and modern hotel,parking is amazing, gym! But with the housekeeping service I mean directly cleaning. Its definitely not 4 stars or what ever. Will recommend it for one night staying or two days max but definitely not for longer than...

Very bad the quality of service in the reception desk. I did the checking online before arrival (Fastpass) but I had to wait for the long queue with all the people doing the normal checking. I asked the receptionist but the answer was "wait like the others". All the reception staff is junior without knowledge and experience, without resources or answers. No managers available. For example, they didn't know about the Iberia airlines loyalty program accepted by NH group, as I show them in the NH web. Also one of them didn't know how to get a pre-forma bill before the check out. The restaurant is very small, with few options in the menu and very poor quality of the forniture (chairs, tables) unconfortable. You can eat in a room that is more a pub than a restaurant. There are two waiters, one of them very friendly and efficient but the other very unfriendly (not only my opinion but other guests also) and no English speaker (I requested the meat very raw, but it came very well done!. The other waiter told me that it is due to the language.) No possible to use stairs instead the elevator. If you choose Green Stay, your room will not be cleaned during your stay and you receive a voucher for a very small free drink in the bar for the big saving the hotel gets. The quality of fruit juices in the breakfast if very poor. There is only a duvet over the bed, that it's too much for the temperature inside, but you havent any bed...

This hotel exceeded all expectations. Especially noteworthy were the friendly staff at the reception desk and breakfast buffet, the tasteful decor of the lobby and rooms, the especially comfortable beds, the soundproofing of the rooms shielding all noise, and the easily controlled, quiet, functional air conditioning and circulation. Everything is new and up to modern highest standards. Breakfast is great and super convenient. It does cost extra (about 18 Eur per person), but lunch can then be skipped because everyone's belly is stuffed and contented. Don't bother finding a comparable breakfast spot nearby to save money (we tried that and failed). Hotel parking is secure in their gated back lot and costs extra (about 20 bucks per night), but some guests park on the side street for free. The hotel is situated on a busy street and has a gas station next to it, but with the sound proofed windows, you'd never notice. The lovely Luisapark is just a short walk away, and be sure to check out the Technoseum, which has a free train ride that takes you around the park (donations accepted by the kind and friendly driver), a cute and fun little route for the whole family. The museum itself is large and seems to cater very much to families, with especially friendly personnel. There is also a planetarium nearby. Our stay was wonderful and probably the best hotel experience we've had...
