Hotel Tilia - Dirk Amtag — Hotel in Quedlinburg

If you are anywhere near Quedlinburg make sure you plan to stop and stay at Hotel Tilia, you will be glad you did. Even if the town wasn't charming I would make a special trip to stay at this hotel and enjoy the company of the owners, Dirk and Andrea. Not only did they do an exceptionally exquisite job on the renovation of this old building they do everything possible to make you comfortable. I got a very bad cold on my trip and Andrea went to her neighbor's to get an onion to make a drink to help calm my cold/cough and boy did it work....slept well for the first time in 3 nights. Not only that, she made some mint tea for me and then put some mint tea in my room with honey and tissues. That is the ultimate in making guests feel welcome. Can't end this review without also saying that the town was charming and friendly but the best part was Andrea and Dirk. Don't miss staying in this quaint hotel and meeting some good people. Our family traveled in Germany for 3+ weeks and our stay at Hotel Tilia was our favorite stay. Everything was great. The rooms are comfortable and kept cool during a heat wave. The location is a short (and beautiful) walk from all that historic Quedlinburg has to offer. The hotel itself is in buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries that have been fully renovated with updated rooms. Wir haben hier 5 Nächte verbracht und uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt! Die Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit und kümmern sich ausgesprochen liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Das Haus wurde jahrelang selbst renoviert und ausgebaut - im Gespräch merkt man, wie viel Herzblut (und natürlich auch Geld) hier reingesteckt wurde. Es ist aber auch wirklich sehr schön geworden! Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer (ebenerdig, also behindertengerecht) mit einem großen Bad. Das WLAN lief stabil und für unsere Bedürfnisse ausreichend schnell. |Frühstück ist in Coronazeiten eine Herausforderung, die hier sehr gut gemeistert wird. Man kann beim Online-Check-In eine Frühstücksliste ausfüllen. Die gibt man dann einfach ab, wenn man ankommt. Man kann jederzeit noch etwas nachordern, sollte man etwas vergessen haben oder nicht satt werden. Eine Frühstückszeit sollte man dann noch ausmachen, aber auch das hat gut funktioniert - wir haben unsere Wunschzeit bekommen. |In jedem Hotel ist das Schild angebracht, dass die Handtücher (der Umwelt zuliebe) nur ausgetauscht werden, wenn sie auf dem Boden liegen. Trotzdem gibt es jeden Tag frische Handtücher - für mich völlig unverständlich und unnötig. Hier ist das nicht so. Es gibt selbstverständlich frische Handtücher, aber eben nur, wenn sie am Boden liegen.
