Himmel und Hölle das Restaurant in der Hölle — Restaurant in Quedlinburg

My family and I had walked through the city the entire day in what was one of the hottest days of the month. We stopped by this restaurant as we were hungry and ordered alcoholic drinks for everyone and asked for tap waters to help a little with the thirst. The young waitress took our order with a smile and went to the kitchen and relayed it to the other two staff members, a man and a women. "Vier Leitungswasser?!" the cook exclaimed. "That's ridiculous", he added, scoffing over at us (he didn't realize I understand German just fine). The girl who waited on us explained to him that we had also ordered drinks and food but he shook his head with a disgust most would reserve for people who don't pick up after their dog after it's relieved itself in the middle of sidewalk.

We should have left earlier, but the food was fine; I would even say good, though I could hear the guy in the kitchen complaining more about the waters. I tipped in the end as I always do but made sure the extra bit I gave was kept by the nice young girl who served us.

As I said, the food was fine, but that guy left an awful taste in my mouth. I'd recommend choosing elsewhere, there's plenty more...

We've visited the restaurant a few days ago, it was one of the sights of the town, so we decided to visit it. What i can say ist that this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The food was very unvaried, some of the stuff were too dry or not salty. The prices are too high for what they are offering. It was also too hot because there's no proper ventilation, so we were sweating. The waiters were unfriendly and not helpful at all. Clearly tables were free and we were turned away at 7pm on a Sunday. Rude.

Updating due to false response from the owner. There were 2 open tables inside, one without a reserved card upstairs and 3 open tables outside. We were not even given the option to wait, make a reservation for later or the next day, or to sit outside. We were just told “Nein”.
