This guesthouse is a few hundred meters up the road from the medieval town center, and it is a perfect base to explore the Rhine valley. The room we had booked was comfortable. it was an unexpected bonus to find that there was a small fridge! The bathroom with a shower was clean and adequate. The guest house is located on a road that has some traffic during the day, but it is very quiet during the night. Breakfast is served at the Hotel Burg Stahleck down the road in town, and it costs 8 Euros. it is noteworthy for guests that you need to check in at this hotel as well, as there is no check in at the guest house itself!
