Without a doubt the best restaurant we ate at during our three (3) weeks in Germany, Luxembourg and Metz, France. We spent five (5) days in Bacharach and ate dinner here on three (3) occasions. The Café Bistro NOY, is a small, yet warm and cozy restaurant with the friendliest owners we met during our time in Germany. Besides the wonderful food we had, the owner, Lilit Sargsyan, is what makes this restaurant stand head & shoulders above the rest. We cannot even begin to express how simply wonderful this woman is, who made us feel like part of the family every visit. From her husband to her sons that also help in the restaurant, everything was first class. A few things to remember, the food is prepared once you order, so if you are in a rush, you should not stop here, which makes it worth the wait. Each night we had something different on the menu and it was all so delicious, but the best meal yet was saved for the third night. Lilit told us we needed to try the “Specialties of the House” and at first, we were a little hesitant, but we were so happy we listened to Lilit. The traditional Armenian dishes of “Shashlik” and “Wild Boar Goulash” were simply to die for. If you can only eat one meal at this fabulous restaurant, then you must try one of these dishes – you will not be disappointed. What makes this restaurant so special more than anything else is the people, especially Lilit. You touched our hearts with your generosity, friendliest and warmth and we will always remember you. And one final thought for Lilit, “do you have reservations?” This is something only Lilit will be able to understand but made us laugh, every visit. Thank you so very much to you and...
Read moreRude place and very bad experience there. So good and small potions.
Went there for lunch on a quiet day and the old lady who served us was unhappy when I asked for a fork after my 3 year old dropped it on the floor. She sighed and reluctantly got us one. The food was not nice and portions are really small. When we added one more lagsane meal to top up for small portion, it was served without a spoon. We only had forks and knives so I asked for a serving spoon. The old lady sighed again and when she passed us the spoon, asked if we had anymore items we needed before she sit down to do her paperwork.
This has been the worst eating experience for us in Germany. I thought the portions was small and food was not good, hence it is overpriced. I cook better than this place and I am not a fantastic cook.
Didn't intend to leave a review until the person who served us was so rude to us. To whoever said this is a good place for children can't be more wrong. She can't speak English well too.
Please walk down the street onwards to the town and turn left at the junction to another cafe (starting with A) thas seating at the sidewalk. We are here now having coffee and the pricing is similar and food portions are huge comparatively. And cakes are superb!
We were conned by the Tripadvisor's review label outside Rusticana. Lousy...
Read morenot recommended. The owners are very friendly and the place looks attractive in the main street of idylic Bacharach. However the food isn't great as it's store bought food from the supermarket. We only got a handfull of fries, no mayonaise or ketchup was available, and the sausage was overcooked to dry. The older photos on the internet are from this place with the old owner and plates contained bigger portions and where spiced and dressed up. We ordered a salad extra for 4,90 euro. A very easy tossed up salad of just some leaves with a cucumber. We paid 11,90 euro for the bratwurst and 4,90 for the salad which actually made this more expensive then other restaurants around who serve home made food for 16 euro with sauce and salad included. Dissapointing food quality, cramped terrace where we couldn't even sit in front of our table but had to...
