WOW---This is a wonderfully beautiful, charming and cute town. This town is easy to see being primarily located along 1 main center street with side ventures up the hill to the castles or down the hill to the Rhine river. Very lovingly restored. It is evident that it's citizens and the town's government care a great deal about their town. The "fachwerk" houses , the great explanations and historic plaques, the cleanliness and the ambiance all speak to the beauty of this little town on the Rhine. Head up the hill to the castle for great views. Very few tourists compared to other towns👍👍👍👍👍. Free to stroll. Handicap doable but beware of the almost total use of cobblestone. Restaurants abound. Bacharach ist wirklich eine Reise wert. Die Stadt ist bezaubernd, viele schöne alte Häuser in der Altstadt, dazu die Burg Stahleck und auch die Ruine der Kapelle. Die Stadtmauer ist auch zum Teil erhalten und man kann hier auch sehr gut wandern. Die alten Türme der Stadtmauer sind zum Teil sogar begehbar. Auch das Rathaus ist in einem sehr schönen, alten Gebäude untergebracht. Leider ist der Innenhof etwas schmucklos. Wir waren Mitte März 2023 in Bacharach, leider hatte die Vielzahl der Geschäfte noch geschlossen. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der Wohnmobilstellplatz bzw. der Campingplatz. Der Campingplatz ist geschlossen, am Stellplatz gibt es keine Möglichkeit für Grau- und Frischwasser und es gibt auch keine Möglichkeit das Chemie-WC zu entsorgen. Hier ist...

Als "heimliches Zentrum der Rheinromantik" wird die Weinstadt Bacharach oft bezeichnet, und sie besitzt wirklich alle Attribute, die sie zu einem der schönsten Rheinorte am gesamten Mittelrhein erheben.
