I left there wondering If I looked like a criminal. I was asked to fill a form which required that I put in my passport number. I hadn't memorized it yet, so I opened my passport so I could copy down the number. The lady quickly takes a photo of my Passport (bio page) before I could consent or even react. Basically, I felt violated and since this is Africa. I have to deal with it by myself. Weird staff.... Edit: Their response was even more unprofessional. They were trying to tell me that they take pictures of every guest's passport ID without their permission or even asking, so why was I complaining . Never mind the Invasion of privacy. They also unnecessarily pointed out that I was Nigerian. How does this help? Or is this treatment peculiar to Nigerians alone? I left with my room key for an early meeting, only because there was NO RECEPTION at 6am when I left.
By the way thanks for not throwing my things out...I really appreciate.
Goodluck with your customer...
Read moreFeehi's Place is a hostel. I am not sure if they have dorms, but there is a well equipped kitchen and a friendly atmosphere created by the staff and the very efficient, friendly husband/wife team who manage the hostel with great efficiency. They live on the premises and are always available to help or find transportation. The location is outstanding--less than a five-minute walk to Oxford Street which is Accra's center for restaurants and night life as well as offering shopping opportunities in well stocked supermarkets. My room was pleasant and comfortable with both a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Also, the wifi is strong and VERY reliable. I stayed a total of eight days at the hostel and never had an interruption of wifi service. Although not inexpensive, the price was very reasonable for the location. I would definitely stay...
Read moreThe rooms are very small, I felt like I was in a shoebox! The washroom is very small....too small to even sit on the toilet if you're a tall person when the door is closed. The kitchen is closed very early, so if you're hungry in the late evening, you're better off buying food beforehand. Also, the staff walk right past you without even greeting you as if you don't exist! The toilet was leaking, so I had to wear slippers each time when going to the washroom to avoid stepping in toilet water. I would never go back there again....not for love nor money. The only advantages with staying there was that it was inexpensive and it is close to Oxford st, which has a grocery store and some restaurants. This hotel is NOT for foreigners, and is more geared to the locals...
