My wife suggested that we stay at kwarleyz residence for our wedding day preps because she thought it was a nice place. We arrived at the hotel on the 10th of Feb. and Due to the nature of the ceremony, we had quite a lot of personal items and required the support of some relatives to take it to our rooms. The hotel staff blocked those assisting family members and asking them questions as if we were sneaking them into our rooms. On the 11th which was our wedding day, the staff prevented the photographers, videographers, makeup artists, etc from coming to the rooms and increasing our frustrations and anxieties relating to our big day. Mind you, we had contacted the hotel well in advance to confirm that we could do our wedding prep there. After pleading for a while, they finally allowed the vendors to come up to the rooms. After dressing, we wanted to take some few pictures before we leave for the ceremony; the hotel staff brought a checklist of costs of taking pictures at the premises which were in 1000s of dollars. The fees were ridiculous, especially because we had booked 3 large suites and we weren’t informed when we inquired before booking. We decided to just take one picture of my wife in her gown with her bridesmaids, and to our surprise the hotel staff threatened to destroy the camera and called security to come seize the camera, and subsequently just drove us all out of the premises in a manner in which I will never forget on our special day. I then urged everyone to keep calm and we finally left the place without taking a picture on the premises. Honestly, it almost changed the whole wedding mood before we got to the venue. Looking back at my whole wedding preparations, Kwarleyz's stay was my worst experience. The hotel is aesthetically “nice”, but I will never recommend it for anyone planning to do any wedding preparations or even just staying there. The service was poor, the staff was rude, and it just isn’t worth the high cost. I have Stayed at the Marriott, and Labadi, and their services were so much better. I humbly request that you (Kwarkeyz) would do me a favor and stop emailing me...
Read moreI stayed at the Kwarleyz in April 2024. I was very excited about my stay and booked a regular room with a loft. When we arrived in the room it had a very weird smell to it and the air conditioning wasn't working. Management was very accommodating and moved us to another room, however that room had issues as well. The plumbing in the bathroom wasn't working. They finally moved us to a two bedroom suite. This room was fine, however there was still drainage issues in the showers. When we settled into our room we changed and head down to the pool. This is where things went downhill. When we got to the pool there was a weird film on top on the water, when looking into the pool we noticed the tile was coming up. The entire area was very dirty and we went to the front desk. They informed us that the pool has not been cleaned for the day and there was nothing they could do about the tiles. As a compensation they offered us to come back with a discounted rate in August 2024. I never asked for money from them or any other upgrades. They just did not want me to leave a bad review. However as a result of them saying that I tried to extort money from me and me being blacklisted I am forced to tell the truth. I visit Ghana several times a year and I am very happy for their rise in tourism. However this company Belfast (Number One Oxford, Kwarleyz, Belair Crest) is one that I would never stay with again. I have been a long time customer however they are now corrupt. They try to bribe you to not leave bad reviews by offering compensation. However when they still drop the ball on customer service they will leave lies about you on the internet. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! There are much better properties to stay at in Ghana. The management is corrupt and you are not safe at this property. I have been slandered and contacted by workers since my return to America and I wish I would have never...
Read moreWe stayed here after a week in Nigeria. Would we stay again? probably not . Aesthetically on arrival it looks nice but I think it left a lot to be desired.||This was my second visit to Ghana 1st time at this apartment style establishment .||Breakfast - breakfast buffet was cold every single day. Given the fact that it’s a small hotel and there was a max of 6 people in the restaurant at once , I’m struggling to understand why they don’t just have a small menu made to order. Instead you have to ask for your food to be warmed via micro wave - disappointing . |Aside from that the breakfast was Limited in variety.||On a positive there were drinks on arrival and the staff were helpful ||The initial room we were given the bathroom door couldn’t close , they sent someone to ‘fix it’ but it was because the whole door frame was warped. I can’t see them not knowing this was the case prior to our arrival. The suite is spacious but I think could do with abit of renovations it definitely looks abit tired in places||The pool is nice and often empty. The Sunloungers by the pool need a shade to cover you . Else you may just burn . | |The step up to the sunloungers needed repair I tripped on it but avoided injury.||The gym is decent and they offer a free 15 mins in the sauna or steam.||It was a pleasant stay but I think I would prefer to pay abit extra to stay in movenpick or kempinski. As the attention to detail is there and a much better breakfast. Or if I want just an apartment I would try a...
