Just Chinese - Airport — Restaurant in Accra

Had to be treated with Antibiotics. As a result I change my rating to 1 STAR. Overall we were discussing how long this will work out well. Just Chinese was recommended by a friend. It is fully Ghanaian run with chefs who were trained by a Chinese chef. I only tried their spring rolls - price was 20 GHC for a set of 3. It can be said that the spring rolls served are the best ( since the days of Boajin Restaurant ) I had in Ghana and elsewhere, including China. The taste was immaculate, finely grated cabbage, with fresh ginger in the right proportion, and even so fine cut beef. The frying was exactly to the tune, with a crispy outer layer, correctly timed to achieve the golden color that is needed. Next is the size of their spring rolls, and that too was outstanding. Well sealed on all sides, without oil soaked filling, their spring rolls deserve the title 'Best in Ghana'. Will go back to try more dishes. Where do I begin? As an American, I know Chinese. The irony in that one. My favorite dish as a child was and still is sweet and sour chicken therefore I understand the flavor profile or lack there of. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and beef fried rice. I didn’t know any better. YouTube is a great place for finding authentic recipes and replicating them almost to the T. I recommend that the recipe developer revisit this recipe. There was way too much sour over the sweet. The portion size was hilarious. Chinese food handlers are very generous. I really tried to like it. The beef fried rice was generic. If you add the Shito, it brings it to life. I felt bad after eating it because I really miss authentic Chinese flavors since moving to Ghana and assumed by the name….JUST CHINESE that I’d be eating Chinese Food. If you’re hungry, buy and eat. If you are in need of authentic Chinese flavors, wait or make it yourself. The customer service is on point. Delivery on point. Overly priced but it’s Accra; that’s normal. This review is for the East Legon location. The front desk is quite useless in helping you select anything on the menu or making recommendations. They are nice though but quite unhelpful.

They have the same issue as every Chinese restaurant in Accra. Small portions and anything with vegetables, they just use lots of onions and go stingy on the other veggies clearly because of cost. But you charge a lot so why not?

I asked whether they have any protein with broccoli which is a staple in most Chinese restaurants all over the world, especially take out places.They didnt.
