🏨 Hotel & Surroundings The hotel is visibly aged and has undergone only partial renovations. It’s located directly on the beach and conveniently near a bus stop, which is great for local travel. Unfortunately, the infrastructure around common areas is in poor shape — broken staircases, dated lobby furnishings, and worst of all, a wastewater treatment facility positioned right behind the hotel entrance that’s truly an eyesore. There are sunbeds placed around three pools and scattered throughout a beautifully maintained subtropical garden, which adds charm to the setting. While there were enough loungers and umbrellas, their quality was disappointingly low. Towels are available for rent, but they were so unattractive I wouldn’t want them even for free. Beach access is via a pebbled shoreline, but just a few meters out, you’ll find soft sand and a remarkably clean sea. During our stay, the water temperature was refreshing — around 23–25°C.
🛏️ Rooms We stayed in room 176, which was spacious and cleaned regularly. The large balcony faced the courtyard. However, the overpowering use of chlorine during cleaning made the room smell more like a hospital than a holiday retreat. The bathroom was reasonably sized, equipped with a bathtub and protective glass partition, allowing safe showering. Water pressure was very weak, though. The TV looked modern but don’t expect smart features or any way to connect your own device — that’s a dream here. Points for the blackout curtains and excellent air conditioning. The beds were big and mattresses semi-firm, offering decent comfort. Unfortunately, there was only one power socket near one bed. There was a desk, but its placement rendered it practically unusable. The safe was not digital and came at an extra cost.
🍽️ Dining We opted for the all-inclusive package — a decision we regretted. I'd honestly rename the restaurant a "canteen." While some meals were tasty, many felt cheap and artificial. The drinks were especially underwhelming: watered-down postmix sodas and ghastly mixed cocktails. Beer and wine were acceptable, thankfully. If you're considering staying here, skip the all-inclusive and pay for your drinks individually — it’ll be a better experience. 👥 Staff Service was seriously lacking, especially in the dining area. While there was enough staff, many seemed to be part-time hires with little knowledge of hospitality. Tables were often unset, and guests had to ask staff to bring drinks or cutlery — rarely did they approach guests proactively. One staff member, responsible for checking off guest names, casually grabbed a dessert with her bare hands and ate it over the utensil counter, mid-breakfast service. Five minutes into breakfast, someone switched off the lights without warning. As a takeaway lunch, we received some fruit, water, and dreadfully cheap sandwiches. Overall, staff rarely greeted guests and left an impression of disinterest.
🧾 Summary Although advertised as a 4-star hotel, it fell far below expectations. Based on that rating, I arrived with reasonable hopes — but the reality made me feel less like a welcomed guest and more like just another body in a bed with...

Read moreLovely relaxed 7 days half-board stay at the Elea Beach. We were a couple with an 8 year old. Location is excellent, with a choice of the lovely Dassia beach or two hotel pools, we preferred the smaller pool nearer the hotels reception. Sun beds always available, and no need for an early rise to reserve unless you were dead set on a certain spot. ||Hotel very flexible on half-board stay, encouraged to do as we please, take lunch instead of dinner if we fancied dining out which we did a couple of times. Paid for drinks were very good and reasonable prices, as was the food available from the bar and al a carte restaurant. Also a very good hotel shop which you could buy snacks and drinks from for your room or around the pool, good prices and if you could be bothered or minded to save 30 cents on a packet of crisps or large water you could even nip out to the supermarket almost opposite the hotel.||Would recommend to small families that are looking for some entertainment but generally a very laid back and relaxing vibe. Behaviour of guests generally good, no wild or anti social behaviour, and I'm sure that would be tackled if it did happen. People are polite but generally not looking to make friends. Staff work really hard, not always service with a smile, but always did as asked and helped.||Entertainment staff also work hard and put on low key non-intrusive stuff that can easily be enjoyed or ignored. Daily water aerobics in the sea is a lovely niche activity they do. Nightly entertainment the same, not overly engrossing or imaginative but also meant you could enjoy a game of UNO and always find a waiter served table.||Easy to catch the number 7 bus into Corfu Town, every 20 minutes from the main road a few minutes walk outside. Late check-out facilities also good, and again hotel discouraged us from paying to keep room on, to take a shower in their courtesy rooms using towels they provide or you can keep from your room. All worked well.||Only real negatives were currently no 'wet' toilets to use by the pool as allegedly being refurbished. And that to make card payments you had to go to the bar, even for waiter service, somewhat defeating the object. But neither would put us off and we would consider a return...
