Leonidas grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Awful! Awful! Awful! Stay far away! BIG FAT ZERO, if i could give ZERO stars!!!!!! The service is horrific. I am NOT one to write reviews but feel that I must due to the shameful treatment by waiter and staff. We waited VERY calmly for table for 25 minutes. There was a nice Italian couple before us. There was a young boy working and cleaning tables and he told the Italian couple, as soon as there is a table, just sit. They sat. We waited another 10 min and a table became available. We sat. There was a local Corfiat man there that came AFTER us and he was telling the waiter he should have sat where we sat (we speak Greek). So not only did the waiter ignore us after that but pretended we did not exist. He skipped over the Italian couple, we to a table that came after them. Finally went to the Italians, THEN completely ignored us with our THREE well behaved children and went to ANOTHER table to get their order. We had now been there a total of 1 hour with not even a 'hello' we will be right there!!! That was the last straw...I went up to the grill asked to speak to the Owner who was cooking the food, I told him the exact scenario that occurred, he shrugged his shoulders and told me, 'what would you like me to to do'!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL!!!!! Of course I gave him and the establishment a piece of my mind and walked out. Please do not EVER go to this place! They should be put out of business for the way they treat people, disgusting!!! Na ntreposaste!!!! We left and went down the street to Kastro Grill House, which mind you, was also busy, but we were treated by a very pleasant young girl and the Pitas were great and delicious. We were treated like human beings, not pieces of you know what! I woukd NEVER, EVER, EVER go to Leonidas in Dassia again. Shameful behavior by the waiter and staff!!!!!!! So many better places to support! P.S. We were NEVER expecting any high end place. In fact when my husband saw how busy it was he said to leave, but I actually was the one that encouraged him to stay. However, after that BLATANT behavior of that waiter to ignore us and the indifference of the Owner to his behavior, I had to say and write something, it is the PRINCIPLE of the matter!!!!! Shame on Leonidas Grill!! We are Greek Americans, we speak Greek and know the Greeks very well, so they can't pull this stuff on us! He was clearly 'favoring' the locals and was making us wait on purpose, since we sat down at the table he wanted to put his friend in who clearly cane after us!!! ! Very malicious! I love this place! A little hidden diamond away in a corner. Dont expect a fancy restaurant, but please go here and let the food and service surprise you, the people in this restaurant/grill room know exactly how to make soulfood! OH MY GOD the taste of the meat is from a different planet, first evening i tried the mixed grill. So delicious i never had something like that, so simple but so delicious, all the seasoning on the meat is so delicious. Even the side salad is amazing. Then i tried the kontosouvli, (dont know if i spell it right) omg what a amazing taste! And just for 9 euros, i can eat good but it was hard to finish the plate. So much meat! The last day i had to go there again and i tried the pita gyros (3,30 euro) amazing price and omg again i was in love. really guys this place is a place what i really gonna miss in the netherlands. People from leonidas, if u read this, guys i love you! The food was amazing and would be a good reason for me to come back fast to corfu. Keep doing what you guys are doing because...

Food is okay, service is non-existent, you get the tools to do everything yourself, and you might as well do it in your own house instead of paying them

They intentionally reject the orders for takeout as they don't want to take them by making up some sorry excuses, especially if you ask for pita gyros instead of regular giros portion - prepare to be rejected

You should also prepare to wait in line just to be "spat on" figuratively as there's a lot of people and not enough service to back up those numbers, so it's merely just for show

If you get lucky to find a place or not get turned into a temporary DIY helper when you came to be served, the food might satisfy you, otherwise stay off from this - there are other places with a better service and food on opposite...
