Out of all the restaurants we viewed this looked the most like it wasn't trying to hard to be more than what it is; a relaxed beach front restaurant.
We received a warm and friendly welcome. We were left to browse the multilingual menu which offered Greek and other Mediterranean dishes.
I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki; chicken pieces chargrilled with salad garnish, warm pitta and fries and my partner had Beef Stifado with Rice and Chips.
We ordered a Mythos lager and a Fanta ( which came with no ice which is standard so if you like then ask) .
The food arrived within 20 minutes. I asked for some Tzatzki which was served complimentary - nice touch.
Souvlaki was great, really tender and tasty Chargrilled chicken which with the creamy Tzatzki was perfect light dinner.
Stifado was super tender with a rich and slightly spiced sauce and sweet baby onions to add another flavour which was delicious.
Our only complaint is some greens would have been preferred over double carbs with the Stifado. We weren't checked upon during dining maybe that's the way here but no matter, as everything we asked for was bought.
Overall : we recommend and would dine here again it was relaxed with good food and was clean (inc toilets).
Cost: €23 for 2 Beers 1 soft drink and two mains...
Read moreThe local hotel recommended Andreas restaurant to us. The location is awesome and It would have been great to spend the day on the beach - the water was so calm and the sunbeds located right by the waters edge. If you eat at Andreas you can use these for free. It was our last local meal before heading to the airport - we were hoping for a delicious local meal. Alas, the service was awful, I eventually had to go to the bar and order, the food was very mediocre, soggy chips and their gyros were dry and there was one piece of tomato and a tablespoon of tzatziki on the plate - all the other restaurants we had been to had provided a good size salad on with a gyros plate. That said, my son had the mussels which he enjoyed, but left the chips - which is very unusual. I am hoping we just caught them on a bad day. There were a lot of local people in the restaurant, which I normally put down to good local food - maybe we just chose the wrong dish. I recommend the beach and maybe a meal, just don't...
Read moreWhen we’re on holiday, we don’t usually go to the same place twice if we can help it: Andreas’ was the exception.
The food is beautiful, and I highly recommend the seafood platter with a side salad. I think I’ll be dreaming about the calamari and octopus…
The restaurant has humble decor and backs straight onto the sea, so it’s a great spot for gazing into the sunset.
I echo other reviews that it does get very busy after 8.30pm, so if you’re planning to go at this time (or you’re a party of more than 2), I strongly recommend booking. On the two occasions we walked in we were lucky to get a table at 7pm, on the basis that we would be done before 8.30pm for an existing reservation. This was totally fine with us and we appreciated staff fitting us...
