In summary, this is a nice hotel, and a safe place to stay, but a lack of professionalism throughout check in, housekeeping, and payment processes kept it from being an enjoyable vacation stay, in our experience.

housekeeper entered our room without asking when we were in bed -an item of ours went missing after housekeeper visit (probably an accident but problematic nonetheless) -owner’s check in process seemed unprofessional as she found us only as we were leaving for each day payment was extremely inconvenient as a problem with the hotel’s bank delayed the process and cost us an extra $100

Utterly gorgeous - don't be deceived by the cruddy neighbourhood. Stunning building.

Very lovely service, clear instructions, beautifully appointed simple room with beautiful shower, great little kitchen (in the shed outside) where you can make tea , coffee, quick meals. A quick walk to the centre - Great location. Next to tennis courts .
