A bit sad to leave this review... had such high hopes.
First and foremost I want to point out the great things: their amazing accommodating and kind staff. Zero questions to them in terms of wanting to please the customer.
But then the so so things. 8€ for the cheapest glass of wine? Ummm are you sure? You guys are not michelin, not even close. So why such steep prices?
Then the starters. They were delicious but not too spectacular, just tasty. I don't know what happened though as it seemed that prices for the octopus on the menu vs. on our bill had minor discrepancy. But ok. I did not make a fuss.
But then the worst part: main course. They told us they could cook a Corfiot specialty, scorpio fish. I SO WISH they had told me JUST HOW MANU SMALL BONES THE FISH HAS!!
It was awful eating it... I almost choked a few times on the tiny bones. Had to pick them out of my mouth and the fish was rather bitter and had a lot gelatine-like slime around it... cooked in a yucky orange sauce... also our grilled veggies arrived late... broccoli was almost 100% certainly defrosted, not fresh.
All in all again, the staff are angels so we left a tip but I am not coming back... have to almost gag from thinking about their "fresh catch of the day" which cost us 40€ and was the worst way to...
Read moreThis restaurant is easily one of the top 5 I've ever visited. My husband and I have been to over 10 Michelin-starred restaurants, and this one surpasses 90% of them.
The waitstaff, the ambiance, the atmosphere—it was such a delightful setting. They were incredibly friendly. We brought our 6-month-old baby, which can be a bit stressful as a mom, but the waiters were so accommodating that I felt completely at ease.
The food was delicious. We started with the bread —the salt was flaky, the olive oil was delicious, and the bread was both soft and crunchy.
You could choose from a variety of fish as the catch of the day. We took their recommendation and ordered the red snapper, which was the best fish I've ever had. It was juicy, tasty, and buttery. We enjoyed it so much.
Next, we had the sea bass with puree. It was also an excellent dish, but the red snapper was the standout.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, we had dessert. It was absolutely incredible—so delicious that I still think about it every day. I would return to Corfu just to have that...
Read moreA gem hidden in the city. One thing to note is that parking in the city center can be challenging. I recommend walking if you are staying nearby or taking a taxi to the location. This restaurant stands out for it's ambience and quality of food. The staff was very friendly and didn't have an issue talking Greek or English. They were attentive throughout the night and showed genuine happiness in their work. Notably, they were extremely careful with food allergies we had at our table, which we greatly appreciated. It might seem like a small restaurant but there is plenty of space in the back, that offers a quiet and refreshing dining experience. The prices are very reasonable given the location and the quality. The presentation and the taste of both the appetizers and the main courses was amazing. The fish, in particular, was fresh and meaty. The dessert was a delightful surprise and ranks among the best I've had in town. I highly recommend this restaurant.
If you go, be sure to try the tarama, the labeling carpazzio, the angler fish, and the...
