Locandiera is an absolute little gem. Walking distance to the town centre with abundance of restaurants close by. A quiet location considering how close to town you are. We were welcomed on arrival by Anastasia & immediately felt we were welcomed into her home. The decor was beautiful & very homey. Yes there were stairs but once we got our to our spacious room we were very pleased to have a very comfy bed & an amazing shower. When it came time for breakfast the smell coming from downstairs was so enticing that we were first down for breakfast. Anastasia had gone through everything that was was on offer. Over the 6 nights that we stayed we enjoyed the homemade jams, rice puddings (my favourite) bread butter pudding, spanakopita that just came out the oven, fresh fruit, cold meats etc fresh orange juice & the coffee was the not hot coffee I drank on our stay at Corfu. Read moreThe included breakfast is very good. The room is super clean and comfortable. Air-conditioning and TV worked perfectly. There's a small kitchen which is really useful. The location is in the heart of Old Town, and this was the main reason for us to choose this place. Communication with the owners were really good and we always got quick response. The shower in our room was not placed high enough to wash our hair (we had to use one hand to hold the shower while washing the hair). The price is pretty high, you can pay less and stay in some resort near the airport (3km from the old city) but in our case the priority was to be in Old Town. In August there's no place to park for free on the street at all (at least near the hotel), so we have to pay plus 3 euros per day for parking in the closer...
