Rio Grande Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

We stayed here with my husband for 10 days in early October — a cozy and budget-friendly place in Benitses!

Everything was very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bed linen and towels were changed often (you can ask to change them less if you want).

The location is perfect: a nice view from the balcony, quiet area (not like the main street), close to the beach, swimming pool, restaurants, and hiking trails in the mountains.

The room had a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, air conditioner, and even a TV (we didn’t use it). If you need plates, a corkscrew, or extra towels, you can always ask the hostess Maria. She is very friendly and kind, always ready to help or share grapes from her garden.

Everything looks exactly like in the photos on Google. On top of everything, there are also some really lovely cats living here! :)

We took a room for three and it was very comfortable and clean. Maria and Barbara are great and very helpful. Rio Grande is really close to beach and there is great pool close which you can use as well. Rooms are cleaned regularly and wifi is great. It's far enough from the main road so it's very quite and you don't hear traffic noise from the street. The beach is 1 minute away from accommodation. ||Benitses is on a very good location relative to the rest of the Corfu island and it's well connected with frequent bus lines driving to the main town. There are many good tavernas, we tried few of them and the food is great and at an affordable price. All people here are very friendly! ||We would definitely return next year and it was overall...

Maria and her mother Barbara are very welcoming and friendly. I have been coming back twice for 4 years, COVID-19 stopped a previous visit. I love the area, I have been coming to BENITSES since 1992. Rio Grande is situated, minutes walk from the sea. They have a beautiful garden and courtyard. Also there is a swimming pool next door that you can use As long as you purchase a beer or something to eat. 5 minutes walk from BENITSES centre and only minutes walk from restaurants and bars like Varvaras Restaurant and Barbayannis restaurant to name but two.
