Terrible experience: My fiance and I chose Elia Kalamaki expecting for an amazing week! All the contrary we found, terrible and dissapointing experience. Shower: 1st day we told the recepcionist that our shower didnt have a door (basics :)), so if he could call the handyman or give us a solution. He called the hotel manager (by phone), and told him that no showers had doors ( it was a complete lie, if you look ay all pictures in booking, OF COURSE the showers have doors!!!!! The solution for that day : towels to avoid water coming out to the room. 2nd day, we talk to the other recepcionist, she told us the manager wasnt working ( in a hotel in august), and that the manager will reach us (he never did). Lack of respect and mistreat to your customers, they never gave us a solution.
Cleaning: the cleaning was pretty poor, i told the recepcionist please, to clean the bathroom better, it was super dirty, they always say: okok, but nothing!!
If you want something fancy, dont come, everyday the 1st minute you enter you have all daylong the cleaning cart with trash bags in the entrance.
No recepcionist from 10pm forward
It it was a 80€ hotel night ok, but paying 155€ per night for this is NOT...
Read moreWe were instantly impressed when we are arrived at the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We spent one week at the hotel and we enjoyed every single day. Our room was very spacious and clean and we were provided clean bed sheets and fresh new towels every day. The cleaning lady Clio did an amazing job and was very kind and we enjoyed talking to her. The breakfast had a great variety of food and fruits, fresh pressed juices and differs from day to day - so you could enjoy a different breakfast every day and would not get bored. It was always fresh made by the chef Jana. She was very very friendly and you could instantly tell she has a big heart by the way she is towards the guests. We loved her! At this hotel you are provided everything: beach towels, umbrellas for the sun, restaurant and beach recommendations, a nice pool and beach loungers as well as tooth brushes, toothpaste and razors. The balcony was also very spacious and had drying racks for your beach towels and bathing suits. Across the street you can find 2 supermarkets. Over all we were more than satisfied with our trip and stay at the hotel and we are planning on coming here again next summer. Thank you for...
Read moreLovely friendly little hotel with amazing staff. Great rooms and bathroom - ours was a two bed with massive balcony (cost about £5 / week more than a one bed!) The power shower was amazing - water from 5 different points! and water pressure and temperature perfect.|Nice pool and garden though it was a little cool when we visited.|Nice lift to upper floors - with glass side so as not claustrophobic like most small lifts.|Breakfast very good for such a small hotel (only about 5 rooms in use when we stayed) with great choice of pastries and continental stuff, which I don’t normally eat but made a big exception this time. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, the cook made us omelettes every day on request (no one else got these and everyone else looked jealous)|Ample free parking and hotel was only 200m from the beach and the bus routes. Some decent restaurants in the area or walk into Chania (about 1.15 hours) or get a bus. |Hotel new and spotlessly clean, decent wifi, and other facilities including fancy coffee maker (but would have preferred a kettle)|Would definitely recommend and would certainly return if I ever visit...
