Hidden gem! This place is a hidden gem in Crete! Lets start with the owner Jerry, what a helpful and true entrepeneur attitude. Takes every customer seriously and helped me out with everything. I can bet that this restaurant and hotel has one of Crete’s fastest wifi internet connections which allowed me to work with no problems during my workholiday at Crete. So if you are in need of good internet speed which is defienetly not a self evident at Crete GO HERE! Secondly, the food is AMAZING price-quality. They make amazing food with reasonable pricing which is also not a self evident. You get amazing grilled octopus with very reasonable price what you dont get in many places anymore even at Greece. They also have hotel next to restaurant which i recommend for exact same reasons that the restaurant. In this price range you dont get things like this in many places in Greece, super fast internet connection, amazing food and good rooms. Area calm but close to Chania, so you get fast to city if needed. Can nothing but recommend and will come soon again!

We were walking around looking for a lunch spot after arriving in Crete and stumbled across Piato. We are near the end of our time here on Crete and this has been our favorite restaurant! This really hits the spot if you are looking for an authentic Cretan meal. We had the Octopus, Cretan Salad, Saganaki Cheese, Pork Gyro, and Dolmadakia and I would recommend them all! The cocktails were really good. The service was amazing. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming and at the end of our meal they gave us some fresh fruit from their garden and the famous Raki. If I lived here I would probably eat here every week.

IT IS NOT A RESTAURANT. It is a bar at a pool where they also rent rooms. There is nothing good about it. Everything is frozen. Don't even think about going there. Small portions and frozen food. Small, bitter fish with uncleaned stomachs. The chef is not a chef, is the one who cuts the grass,. The whole Chania area is no good with small, crowded beaches with 15 eur/beach set, restaurants and taverns with frozen and super expensive food….. go to Halkidiki and Thasos... leave Crete for the locals to enjoy it in peace... great poverty and inflated prices for nothing. See you never !

BEWARE. Threatening/harassment behavior from the waiters/manager at dinner service, Saturday (21/09/24).

We were sat down and told that the service is slow due to restaurant being full, which we understood. My meal came first but we had to wait more than 10 minutes for my partner’s meal and once she was served eventually, I had to ask for mine to be redone due to it getting cold(grilled octopus). Waiter brought my food back to me after 20 seconds in the same condition, I checked specifically and it was cold as if nothing has been done, quite disrespectful. I then asked again to be redone and explained the condition of the food service and in fact the waiter was also the manager and was told they made a mistake in the kitchen and to my shock, nothing can be done, they don’t have time to make the dish again and I have to stick with the reheated first dish. The tone and the aggressiveness of this said manager was incredibly visible: bullying, sarcasm. I told him I would have to consider not paying or partially pay for this fiasco and I was categorically refused even though saying on multiple instances that the kitchen made a mistake, highly unprofessional. BUT, the worst came at the end. At the end, I asked for the bill so, me and my partner can forget about this terrible ordeal, this manager came and told me, “it’s on the house” and asked me to tell him “do you know why?”, being intimidating.. I was baffled and said “because it’s the right thing to do?” and he said “wrong answer” and basically used harassment to force me to pay which I already wanted to pay but this time I also felt the need to get the police involved but it was my last day on holiday. On top of that, before leaving, he stood in my face, trying to embarrass me and bring other customers into our discussion and threaten me with “you will get what’s coming”. I hope the owner sees this post and I urge other customers to step forward, if they have similar experienced, so that this manager on that day, be held accountable for his harassing, threatening and...

Disappointed. The quality and service are just not up to par with the previous reviews. Furthermore, the restaurant tried to charge for an item we had not ordered.

We got a few pieces of stale bread, a bit of tzatsiki, and a few olives at the beginning of the meal. We figured it was on the house as the restaurants in Greece had a lot of freebies for their customers, and we never got charged for any of them. Surprise, surprise, the bread was listed as 4 euros on the bill we received. When we asked the waiter about it, they said THEY DO THIS TO EVERY CUSTOMER. Not a huge amount of money, but left a bad impression. After I mentioned it, thankfully they took it off the bill.

And the food... The quality was ok, except for the "fresh" fish of the day which seemed old and definitely not the fish we ordered (wanted grouper, got something similar to parrot fish, which was yuck).

Pizza was a bit burnt and too salty. The crust was dry and seemed store bought. It was edible but not the best.

Cretan salad was small but the...
