PITA GRILL — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Hard pass. Just ate here tonight. Had the chicken gyro and a fry. I asked for all dressed so the original , meat, onion, tomatoes and of course tzatziki and fries inside. Tasteless chicken, out bread, from from original styled pita bread as most places have; , this was like a rye dough or something. PITA came stuffed with tzatziki at the opening end, jammed with potatoe used à fork to get to the meat part. As I ate I pulled out the overfilled fries and realized no Tzatziki half way down. You see most places put Tzatziki first on the pita, so you have the flavour right down the consumption of the whole gyro wrap. Fries were also tasteless but a good portion was given. Maybe the gyro pork would have been better, I'm not sure. But I've been in Greece for a few days and this is my mid day go meal. And this location had the most tasteless and unenjoyable one. Nice place, go service good prices..but I'd try other recommendations before this one IF you like...

In a little tourist town where most of the restaurants are overpriced, even if they are of good quality, I was happy to find a fast, less expensive, but still high quality tasty food option. The servings were ample, in that, my wife and I ordered what we thought would be dinner, and became also both our lunches the next day, and still had some left. Not because we didn’t like it, not because we weren’t eating until we were full, it was just that much food. Chicken souvlaki was very tender and flavourful. I really liked their Greek salad and dacos salad. Tzatziki was on point. If you are looking for a break from full on sit down restaurants, but still want some good Greek, I’d highly recommend here. It also seemed it was a good number of locals eating there, always...

I stopped by Pita Grill for a quick bite and ended up having one of the best meals of my trip. I was served immediately, and the portion size was huge. I ordered a small chicken dish (I almost ordered the large serving, thankfully the waiter pointed out the dish was for 2 people and redirected me to the correct size) with a cucumber and tomato salad, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The salad was especially refreshing on a warm day.

The prices are beyond reasonable. I spent just 11.50 euros and still had leftovers. The staff were kind and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. Whether you’re in a hurry or want to sit down and relax, this spot is a perfect choice. Highly recommend for anyone...
