The hotel is in a quiet street 3 minutes walk from the city center. The area around, however, looks a little like a slum, but that's a big part of Hersonissos.||The homemade breakfast was very tasty and fun to eat.||Swimming pool area was great.||Big comfortable rooms with kitchenette.||The place was mostly clean but they skipped cleaning our room the last couple of days.||The hostess, however, was a little hostile. For example if we asked for fresh towel she would ask why. Some things were "forbidden" like we're in school (asking us politely is sufficient).||The overall experience felt somewhat minimalistic. No shower curtain, no soap or shampoo even when we asked. The whole pool area, where there is also wifi signal, closes after 8:30 which really leaves you with nothing to do after that time.||A/C costs extra which is misleading, as you will obviously use it in Crete.||Note that the place has great value for money, but we didn't have a budget problem. We chose Elia and Tina because of high ratings. And after visiting they seem somewhat too high. The place is OK, like every other place in...
Read moreVisited here with my family in may. There was a total of 10 of us visiting elia and tina and were made to feel welcome the minute we arrived. Tina couldn't have been more helpful if she tried and really helped to make our stay extra special. The apartments themselves have everything you need for a Base with kettle, fridge, hob. Beds were comfortable and linen changed regularly. The shower was also the best we have had in Greece!!||The location was perfect for us. Close by to a lovely local restaurant and about 10mins walk to the town centre with a supermarket near by. All within easy walking distance. It is also about 10mins walk to the village ( a steep slope to get to the village but vwry worth it). ||Nice seating area outside and nice and quiet. Perfect for a family holiday. I'm sure tina will be very willing to help and always goes out of her way. The kids loved her and we all had a tear when we left. We would certainly return to elia...
Read moreI couldn't fault a single thing here, the owner and her son could not have done any more to make my stay any more comfortable and welcoming, I was utterly upset to be leaving!||||Tina and Andonis work tirelessly round the clock to provide spotlessly clean quarters and surrounding and always a traditional Cretan welcome. ||||The surrounding gardens and pool/loungers were beautifully kept, the apartments were typically greek in style and well maintained/spotlessly cleaned. Tina's breakfast was well worth the small additional charge including the fact she freely offered delicious vegan options for me because of allergies (just be sure to let her know in advance).||||10 minutes walk to beautiful traditional villages, 5 minutes from shops and the hustle and bustle without being noisy in the slightest. ||||I was really sorry to be leaving and will certainly return in the very near future.||||Thank you to you both for making my stay so...
