The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends staying here!|We stayed at Malia Princess in Malia, Crete for 2.5 weeks. Our first night here there was a little issue with the room and first thing the following morning, the hotel manager George got everything straightened out for us. I cannot say enough good things about George! He makes this place worth staying at. He made our family feel welcomed and our daughter gained a new best friend. He really goes above and beyond for this hotel, and is the main reason we would return!|Breakfast was served every morning which included coffee, tea, orange juice, toast, ham and cheese toasties, and cereal. The lady making breakfast every morning is so amazing. She runs that breakfast! And she was so nice and pleasant. There is also a whole menu selection of breakfast you can purchase, along with lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks. For the best prices in the area! The pool is always very clean and there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for everyone. There are also pool tables and games surrounding the bar. You really don’t even need to leave the hotel if you don't want to!|The rooms were ok, basic, but pretty decent for a 2 star, super budget friendly hotel. We had 3 single beds in our room, which were comfortable. There is a little kitchenette in the room that has a small refrigerator, burner, and a kettle. The kettle was pretty old and rusted, and there were no sponges or soap for doing the dishes, but the cupboard was stocked with some plates, bowls, and cups. Our beds were made up everyday, but the sheets and comforters were never changed. We eventually asked for fresh bedding and they changed them that day. We did get fresh towels every 3 days. There is AC available, which is an extra 7 euros per day. The room really didn’t matter that much though, since there is so much to see and do in Malia and at the hotel, that you are rarely inside your room very much anyways. |The hotel is in the perfect location. Just steps away and you are in the middle of downtown Malia. There are restaurants everywhere, the grocery store is less than a 5 minute walk, tons of souvenir shops, bars, and the beach is about a 10 minute walk. Malia is quite a poppin town and it does get pretty loud and rowdy around 2:00am-3:00am, but you could barely hear all of that at the hotel. Which was odd since it was steps away from the main street.|All of this for a super cheap price. I was a little skeptical at first, but by the end of our stay, we were all very sad to leave! Money well spent, and we would gladly...
Read moreWhere do I even begin? This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The receptionist literally told us we had no hope in the future and asked why we even came on holiday there during checkout and kicked us out when we told her we weren’t paying €20 for the extra charges receipt she printed for us. This was after us having to pay around €100 euros between 3 rooms for damages that weren’t close to being of that value. Not exactly the warm stay you expect when you’ve paid to relax.
The bar was even worse. There was a really creepy guy called George behind the counter who kept pressuring us to buy drinks and food nonstop. He made it incredibly uncomfortable to even sit near the bar. It felt less like a holiday and more like we were being stalked by a pushy salesman. A salesman that made an awful Carbonara.
Then came the scams. We were charged for stolen towels — which we absolutely did not take, most likely a tactical scam to get extra cash from customers before they leave— and then accused of stealing an ashtray that belonged to the receptionist from a locked room, which made no sense at all since there were ash trays provided in the rooms for us on arrival anyways, most likely another tactical scam to get more cash off us at the end of our stay.
To top it all off, the air conditioning barely worked, and what little it did manage to do actually made us sick. We all left feeling worse than when we arrived.
This place is clearly run by a bunch of con artists. Everything is set up to squeeze extra money out of you in shady and dishonest ways. If you’re considering staying here, don’t. Why come to a place where the staff are insulting and questioning your purpose for visiting there when it’s famously known as a party location and the hotel is based on the strip. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the misery. There are much better — and safer — places to spend your...
Read moreI travel a lot through work and this is by far my worst experience. The staff was very rude and not helpful. They lied to us many times and said hurtful things to us and made a part of the group cry.
The shower head fell many times on my head and they would not fix it. The door didn’t lock or close and when we told them they laughed in our face and made fun of us for complaining.
A woman who claimed she was a manager offered us a full refund and told us to leave. She had a couple of rage episodes. When we asked to take the refund offer she informed us that they couldn’t give us any refund and that she never offered it. When I talked to the head office they informed me that she had lied about the refund and that she wasn’t a manager.
Be careful with communication and keep EVERYTHING on computer form and through email. Because they do lie and will deny everything if it’s not on paper.
The room we got wasn’t nice and not what they promised us. The shower barely worked. The mirror was rusty. The fridge leaked and made everything that was left on the floor wet. The shower head falls on your head and it knocked me out and made all the towels in the bathroom wet. AC and Wi-Fi is not included. The room wasn’t perfect but we were ready to accept it. But the staff’s attitude and horrible words made us draw the line and we had to leave. We had paid 4000 euros for our stay and we won’t get anything refunded even though they promised us a full refund. However we will not tolerate this behaviour towards us and we are going to leave even though we have two months left reserved at this hotel.
This hotel stay has literally been so horrible that we can’t take more of this mental abuse. Be careful and have everything through email if you plan on...
