The George & Dragon Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

Nice people at the entry, nice place but that’s basically it. Strange guy walking around with a camera trying to harass tourists into getting pictures. Had an unbelievable rude waitress. We wanted a T-Bone steak English, she wasn’t familiar with that term. She insisted on making it „blue“, explaining to us it would be the same as „english“ Why work in a „steakhouse“ if you’re not even familiar with those terms? What we got was a piece of disgusting, raw piece of flesh that almost only consisted of fat! No actual meat! My husband hat 1 bite that he didn’t even finish, he spat it out to a napkin because it was so disgusting. As he cut the steak to look if he just caught a bad part, we noticed the entire thing looks like that. I told them the other dish was fine and we would like another of that instead, that’s when she came to our table snapping at us, saying it’s our own fault for giving in a wrong order, but she’s the one that got it wrong. Instead of apologizing or whatsoever; she kept on yelling at us and then just took off without letting us speak. As they demanded we still have to pay for the so called „steak“, I told them that’s not gonna happen. Another guy came up offering me a discount, I laughed and asked, a discount for what? For having to deal with a furious w.tch? For a meal that they took away and didn’t think of replacing? We ordered a 30€ steak and we’re happy to replace it with 14€ pasta, which they didn’t agree to. We discussed around 20 minutes with different people, they only gave in when I said I’d rather call the police on this issue instead of paying for that disgusting thing they call a steak. We were happy to pay for everything else of course, it’s not that we wanted free food or anything. We even paid for the sauce that we didn’t need since it was meant for the steak. They ruined our whole evening, we definitely don’t...

The restaurant I visited was simply amazing! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, with stylish decor that was perfect for a special evening. The service was first class - the staff were friendly, attentive and always willing to make recommendations. The menu offered an impressive selection of dishes, all freshly prepared. I chose the fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection and had a lovely seasoning. The side dishes were also delicious, especially the seasonal vegetables, which were crunchy and full of flavor. For the I treated myself to dessert Chocolate mousse that was to die for - a perfect sweet touch to end the evening. We do not recommend eating here! Herewith we share our experience in hopes of avoiding future disappointment.

Brown lettuce, cooked through meat and spareribs with the backbone still attached is the description of what our meals looked like.

After we spoke to an employee about this we were not treated respectfully and the woman started swearing. They took our dish back after the kitchen without then we took a bite of it, then they wanted us to pay for the entire dish.

We were very surprised at how unprofessional this situation was run when there were better obvious solutions that could have been thought of.

Don't eat here especially if you don't want to have the same unpleasant situation as us.
