Galini Pension — Hotel in Municipality of Ios

Just a 5-10 minute walk away from the beach, Galini Pension is run by an incredible warm and welcoming staff whose sole priority is your comfort and happiness. Room services are available daily, and the property is well maintained and cared for by her owners. When I was curious about staying longer, they extended my trip without question. When I realized I had to cancel the extension, they were happy to accommodate me. Every single request I had was met, and my room was absolutely amazing - a balcony view of the Aegean Sea that was absolutely breathtaking. This place is truly amazing, and I am so lucky I got to stay here. Not only a great property, but for the price? An absolute steal. Galini Pension is a place that I will actively seek out when coming back to Ios. Thank you, Bernice, for an absolutely immaculate stay. We picked Galini as it was so cheap and we needed to spend one night in Ios just for a stop off between ferries. My husband and I stayed here with friends and were disappointed we were only here for one night. Bernice greeted us when we arrived and gave us useful information about the island and showed us to our rooms which were basic but clean and comfortable. The Galini is a short walk from the port and the lovely sandy Yialos Beach. We spent our one evening catching the bus as recommended by Bernice into town and walking up to see the beautiful sunset. We stayed in Galini in June 2019 in a room with a view right out onto the sea over looking the impeccably-kept garden. The smells would waft into our room from the beautiful flowers. Our room had a brand new bathroom with a big shower as well as a fridge and supplies for making coffee/tea. When we'd head out for the day it was such a treat to come home to Galini where our room would be sparkling clean. The staff were always friendly and helpful and picked us up from the port as we arrived late at night. The hotel is literally a 60 second walk to the unspoilt Yialos beach as well as a five minute walk to the port and all its restaurants.
