Helios Pension — Hotel in Municipality of Ios

The accomodation is decent and clean, and the port is very near. However, if you're here for the clubs and nightlife, you're in for a bit of walking. And like everywhere in Ios, it's walking uphill. The rooms have refridgerators, but there is no kitchen within the room. There is one common kitchen, which is really well-equiped, but you need to use it with all the other guests of the villa, which can be tricky. The staff that runs the kitchen in the evening is very welcoming and polite. Bring hangers for your clothes, because without them the wardrobe tends to be useless. The pressure in the shower is really low and you'll need time for a decent shower, but it is achievable. The view from our balcony was really nice, especially at night. Old, Dirty, and Infested - Do Not Stay Here!

Our experience at Helios Pension was nothing short of horrible. The place is extremely old and in desperate need of renovation. The floors were filthy, the furniture was worn out, bed was hard as a rock and the entire room felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in years.

To make matters worse, we discovered bed bugs in the bed shortly after checking in. That was the last straw. We immediately went to the manager and demanded a refund, which they granted without much hesitation—likely because this isn't the first time they've had this issue.

The entire experience was disgusting, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. This place is a health hazard. We left as quickly as we could and will never return. Avoid...

Our stay in helios was just amazing...aggelos the owner picked us up from the port and informed us about everything we eventually needed to see or do...then after that he took us to our room we were very happy to see that the room was really big and very clean, the balcony is really amazing and has the most wonderful view of the sunset you can get in the area and all these for very little money!!! It's located in a very convenient location between the cute port and the islands city center (chora) less that 5 mins to get to the port and like 10 mins to walk up to chora!!Just an amazing and affordable place and I would recommend it to...
